:nonono:

Man i swear some of you dont watch any games exept ours..

Mo was anice second option and an Allstar a few years ago when he played off of Lebron..

Beaubois couldn't get a minimum contract from a Mavs teams that needed PG's...

Just ridiculous.

Sure Mo is better then Beaubois, but since both are probably not a fit for this team I would prefer to sign someone like Beaubois that maybe has a potential and who knows, maybe this will be the right place for him...

As I said before I think we need another center (and probably a wing), Mo Will is not what this team needs so I don't care if we give "his" place to a young guy that maybe has a future over a guy that if he comes here it's only because he believes that by playing at Miami he will get a better contract next year, I want a young guy that wants to play, that will work hard to prove that he can get minutes in the rotation, I want to see some young faces, that all.
Please excuse my bad English, this is not my native language :)

Lol cole has a higher ceiling than roddy but people wanna get roddy based on his uncertain potential? Baffling lol

Also our team is based off of defense. With mo we would not only have to sacrifice someone's mins but also team defense. Mo has never in his life played the type of stifling defense the heat have implemented the past 2 years.

He would also potentially disrupt cole's progression. Do you wanna know who was the last player the heat signed with mo Williams type of repertoire? Mike Bibby who just lit it up from 3 during the reg season and just choked during the playoffs. Mo has choked with the cavs and last year he was just PATHETIC on both ends if the court for Utah. Face it there's no free agent out there that would help our team overall. I say keep the mmle until mid season. Birdy fell into our laps who knows maybe someone else will?

Mo is the new Birdman and alot of you will be eating crow if we get him.You guys want to compare their efficences like Chalmers doesnt have 4 hall of famers creating space for him and Mo had to be the primary creator and had Paul Milsap and Gordon Hayward to create for him.

You could make a case our best line up the ENTIRE playoffs was LeBron/3 shooters/Birdman. Do you guys honestly think that Ray and Mike was some kind of defensive duo and Mo and Ray would be some kind of revoling door.

Defense is like jenga,a few weak pieces isnt as important as the foundation. The foundation of our defense is our bigs hedging hard and blowing up pick and rolls.Chalmers isnt exactly a show stopper himself.

Alot of you guys have gotten so spoiled.5 years ago we were begging and whining when we got spurned by guys like Boozer and Odom but now I guess were too good for anything short of an All Star or someone with All Star potentional.

and no I did not mean Rio would lose his starting role,I just think Coles minutes arnt set in stone and that Cole/Ray unit had to have been one of the worse combos.

If we sign Ivan Johnson and Mo or trick some team into taling the 2nd rounders with the philly pick/Joels contract for another Center id be more than happy with this off season.

Pls stop. BIRDMAN plays defense. And is very smart on the offensive end. Remind me in what universe is mo even half effective as BIRDMAN is on both ends of the court?

Obviously I was saying Mo's situation of people being against signing him but he would actually be able to contribute is comparable to Birdmans. It shouldn't take much to realize I wasn't comparing a 6'1 shooter to a 6'10 defender skill set wise.

Before we signed Birdman everyone was saying he was away from basketball for too long, he was too old, he would be a problem in the locker room, he had drug issues, hes tied to a kiddy porn scandal keep him away!!

5 months later those same people were in their living room screaming Birdman Birdman.

The same way everyone will be yelling Mo Gotti and putting up three goggles when he hits 4s off the bench against the Bulls in a big game we got him.

Do you understand what I'm getting at?

I'm not sure whether you guys are underrating Mo or overrating Cole, but Williams is a much better basketball player than him. And Cole's defense is hella overrated...dude was getting trashed by Parker every time he was on him. Mo off the bench for the minimum for 20-30 min a night (depending on matchup) would be an amazing signing.

Dont bother Norris, i bet some of these cats had to google Mo just to find out who he is after his name popped up in this thread.

Mo is the best free agent out there right now, He's a great catch and shot shooter, good creator both for himself and others, only 30 YO, very good asset for 3Mil a year (we might actually get him for less), was an Allstar player next to LBJ just a few years ago, was very decent last year too, could provide depth and insurance if any of our PG's or SG's gets injured.

You have to be pretty clueless to not want to add him under these circumstances.

Mo is a three point specialist, no slashing no defense. tell me if i missed something. why go after a guy that does the exact same thing as norris and rio. Idk if there is one out there but i would love to see us pick somebody up that can slow down the likes of rose, dwill, parker, westbrook etc....i think lebron covers up a lot of the holes on this team but theyre there. who is the second best on ball defender for the heat? Is he younger than 30?

p.s. mo is probably going to memphis

A.What inside information makes you think hes going to Memphis? Not saying you're wrong but what makes you say probably? Anyone can see he could steal more minutes from Chalmers/Cole than he could from Conley/Bayless.

B.What do you do if Chalmers gets injured and is out for a few months? Play Cole 48 minutes a game? Work LeBron and Wade into the ground during the regular season by making them handle the ball all game? Let Ray handle it and turn it over 6 times a game?

C. Who are these magic D Rose/Parker and Westbrook stoppers we can afford? Seriously name 3 I actually am very curious.

The second someone addresses those 3 points I'll stop arguing.

Y'know with those Carmelo Anthony going to the Lakers rumors. I just have a feeling he's going to the Clippers...at some point.

i literally live 5 minutes from the fedex forum in memphis so i do hear what people are saying (not necessarily insider information) but either way that has to count for something. Courth square center 62 north main if you dont believe me. also...bayless plays the 2 so mo would just have to beat out tony wroten for minutes which is laughable. as far as defensive stoppers for those type of guys, trust me, i get that they dont exist. what i am suggesting is that there may be a more athletic player available that can accomplish the same things that mo williams would bring maybe roddy beaubois or nolan smith. Im not saying either of these guys are flat out better than mo williams obviously, but i do think they provide a little more youth on the defensive side.

It be great for lebron to have a point guard who can get him ball before defense sets. Sorry bron be in great position at the rim waiting for the ball but doesn't get there because rio and cole cant get to him. Plus mo can shoot not just three ball ball but 2s also. Know one thing mo never had a problem tearing up the bulls.

Well that's disapointing. He did very well in summer league, you really couldn't expect him to do any better.

Will be intersting to see who are we going after to complete the roster.

I guess Mo and Varnado must be the front runners for the last 2 spots, but if we trade joel away..it's really unclear who else will we try to get. i thought Ennis had a good chance to make it.
