I've said it time and again. Wade first ...

1) $20 mil
2) $18.5 mil player option

That's what he should have gotten last season, this season, and every season until he's no longer worthy of a $20 mil salary.

They don't have space do they? I can only see Wade going to a contender so I'm not worried about them stealing him (assuming we actually still want him). If the Spurs or somebody starts clearing out space for Wade then we have a real problem.

Now we have all this cash and nobody to spend it on and don't say TJ he ain't worth it.

We probably never planned to. I wonder what the "we were always going to take care of Wade" crew will say now. Probably something along the lines of "it was for the best" "Riley's always right" etc.

This I don't mind, not keeping Wade, but for **** sakes, you could have made 1 **** move besides Whiteside. And don't tell me Durant was going to come here. With just Whiteside.

This is our real lineup for 2016. The Heat won't Match the poison pill from the NETS for TJ. The Heat won't re-sign Wade. The Heat will have be roughly 20 million under the cap. Until they sign UD, Chalmers, Birdman. But I see them falling to around 14 million under the cap there just with those three if they signed for Vet mins. If they sign the last 3 positions to vet mins. they fall to 9 million under the cap. If you add a mid level exception to any player take the cap down 1.2. So we are already down to roughly 8 million.

PG: Goran
SF: Justice
C: Whiteside
SG: Josh Richardson
PF: Josh McBob

Bench:

PG: WEBER
SF: GREEN
C: UD (Maybe)-Vet Min
SG: Chalmers (Maybe)-Midlevel
PF: Birdman (Maybe)-Vet Min
Position: Open-Vet Min
Position: Open-Vet Min
Position: Open-Vet Min

Come midseason we should get a boost from Bosh's medical cap relief. 2017 should be fruitful.

People keep saying that and it's wrong every single time. Forbes keeps track of these things. There was no increase in Wade's endorsement income that can be attributed to the big 3 or those championships.

Going from perceived top 5 NBA player to 2nd banana on your own team just isn't as lucrative as you think it is.

Yes but then that would make them considerably less attractive of an option too. I just can't see it. Of the fringe teams, NYK was the only one to worry about I think. But they gave Courtney Lee a lot of money, so I don't think Wade can go there either.

If Wade leaves and more starts coming out about their contract negotiations, namely that Riley didn't even contact or call Wade while he was waiting to pitch Durant, I wonder what the response will be.

Like I'm genuinely curious how much it would take for some of you to ever actually criticize Riley. It doesn't take much for Wade, so I want to see the true limit for Riley.

The meeting was scheduled before the Heat made an offer i guess?

He should go to the meeting, see what it's like to be back on a losing team. Let them sell him on the last two years of his career.

The Bucks are the threat. I can't see him going to Denver even for all that money, but Milwaukee can go over 20 M if they trade Monroe, plus he has the Marquette connection. And the Bucks with Wade finish higher than the Heat without, if you ask me. Milwaukee would make the playoffs. Also, more teams may join the chase now that KD is off the board.

Forty million over two years would have been done in 30 seconds at the beginning of free agency, but now we have to wait and see how badly the well has been poisoned.

This is a fair deal. If he wants to join the Bucks or another team for a few million more per season, then so be it.

If they can find a way to sign him without giving up Monroe the Bucks might be a better option than we are. But I would have to see it to believe it. Plus we can pay more tax free even if they can offer more.

Maybe he does that and ask for S&T to other contending teams? Who knows :dontknow:

I agree. His best years are not ahead of him, so if he wants to get more money than what the Heat are offering then best of luck to him. I've not bothered reading, but has a dollar amount been quoted as to what the Bucks are offering?

I think Wade has given us enough. Anything he wants to do is fine with me. The Heat are winning nothing for now, so he might as well try to find a place where he can actually contend.
