From a personal standpoint, it took me a year to completely develop my shooting form after initially shooting like Shawn Marion back when I was a kid. Imagine how I used that hideous shot for 7 years before making the change. And now I may not be Ray Allen with it but its respectable and reliable.

Not the entire same case with Winslow but you get the point, if a non NBA player like me could tinker and develop my J, so can Justise. He has all the resources in the world man. And his work ethic and personality is so good so puttin in work wont be a problem. Count me in to those hoping he makes that huge leap

My younger bro doesn't necessarily shoot like marion but he doesn't bring the ball high enough when he releases so it's easy to block. What kind of drills did you do to change your shot up?

I've been watching a lot of tape on Justise to figure out what's wrong with his shot and I think I've found 2 things that could be major factors: 1. He rarely flicks his wrist which is forcing his shooting shoulder to do more work than it has to and is the reason his shot always hits the front of the rim. 2. RHYTHM. Too many times i see Justise catching the ball off of a jump but his jump is too early which affects the entire rhythm of the shot. Another thing about rhythm is the lack of a "dip" before he brings the ball upwards to shoot. If he dipped the ball a little more I think that he would notice a more consistent rhythm in his shot.

If Waiters has to miss extended time for his ankle or eventually opts for surgery starting Winslow at the 2 could be interesting. You'll find out where he is in prep for long term decisions.

You've gotta understand how young these kids are to really get it.

For all intents and purposes NBA 3's are about 25 feet. That's where you shoot from.

These guys really just start shooting 3s with remotely proper form in high school. While they are growing and getting stronger. So their muscle memory gets all jacked up.

Finally they get used to shooting from 20 feet and boom the line goes back 5 feet. Their defender is tall and leaping so suddenly they have to alter their release point.

Shooting isn't something you master in 6 months. It's just like any other skill. ~10,000 hours. At 40 hours /week that's 5 years.

He should make strides this year. In the meantime be glad he's a guy wity tremendous other skills.

Ultimately I see him as a point forward in this league. A homeless man's LeBron. A poor man's Simmons. Maybe even a little draymond in him.

This guy was waaaaaay too good in college not to pan out IMO

Unless everyone got a turn taking their picture with Dragic and Whiteside, this picture makes no sense. I hope they aren't implying a "big 3".

Players take a lot of random pics together on media day. Might've put these three together because they're fan-favorites :)
