“That’s been a trend; our starts defensively and our disposition in transition and protecting the paint wasn’t at a level necessary to win,” Spoelstra said.

I mean, what do you expect Spo? You start a 6’5”, 205lb PF and our lone big (who is an undersized 5 as it is), routinely gets switched onto guards at the perimeter.

Pretty hard to protect the paint when bigs are playing volley ball on Lowry/Herro/Martin/Strus down low.

Really need to see some changes. 7 games in and the big rotation switch has been to bench our promising rookie in favour of a guy who is 42 years old.

I just want to see:

Butler
Herro
Martin
Jovic
Adebayo

Just for a bit. Give them 5 minutes Spo.

Duncan was a product of the dribble hand off.

League has caught up to it and Spo hasn’t been able to counter their counter

Duncan’s success was based on what Is now a played out gimmick
guys it's very simple, Robinson is just a shooter who went from good do bad, from making them to not

Jovic should get minutes off the bench. But he's another defensive liability. He won't fix the current defensive problems. The roster needs a trade or a buyout for a big 3 & D wing who can play the 4. Or they need Yurt back and switch the defense to drop, hopefully Yurt can be a good rim protector.

Ray Allen didn’t just go from making shots to not though. He practiced with a passion few have. I think Drob practiced with that same passion, then he got paid.

Tbh I don't care about being called the #1 Pick. I'd drop out and go to the g-league for one season and then come in the NBA to the team I would want to go to. I wouldn't let no crap a$$ team touch my name.

Everybody would do this if it was allowed

Isn't it? I think I remember someone doing exactly that like 2 years ago. They dropped out of the draft. Went over seas, and then came in through the g league. What's there to stop someone from saying hey u want to go to the g league instead of getting drafted?

Anyone thinking trading Lowry and Robinson for Westbrook is a good idea for this teams success this year either hasn't watched Russell Westbrook play basketball for the last 3 years or is all in on tanking for Wembanyama which I'm not opposed to at this point.

If you trade Lowry/Robinson for Westbrook and a 2027 FRP then we go all in for a Herro, Bam and Wembenyama quick reset.

If we planned to do that though then just sit Bam/Herro for the rest of the year and trade Butler for as many draft picks/young guys as we can.

Wiltside summed it on on post #63. Same could could be said for most any game the last 3 years. We are not going to change as long as Spo has a say. Also Jimmys attitude is poor, he seems to go into coast mode anytime Tyler has it going. We cant be a team where we take turns scoring. Jimmy could be playing at a higher level without the ball than he does. Bam was better but still got exposed by Sabonis. I do liek the effort from Caleb.

Aslo I dont understand how Dipo and Yurtseven are grinding all summer now its game time and they are mysteriously unavailable like Morris and his 6 month concussion recovery. Sometimes this team baffles me.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

We would have to go on a 25 game losing streak starting now.
