Doubt we get Herro back this series, but geez he’d be handy now that Jimmy is hobbled. We need another bucket getter.

It's nothing short of amazing what this organization accomplishes with ...

1. so many guys in the rotation who they pulled off the scrap heap, or who really have no business starting in the NBA, or who are barely hanging on to an NBA job.

2. Guys redshirting.

3. Key injuries.

The Heat's are like ...

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
.

Miami doesn't play again until Wednesday so hopefully Butler is close to full strength.

We need Uber Jimmy if we’re to make any noise next series. Knicks made a lot of self inflicted mistakes, and we cannot rely on getting those same breaks against Philly or especially Boston

Going to need High motor Bam to show up too

Bam will never be a legit 3 point shooter. He'll never shoot enough of them to make matter, and he's very likely just not capable enough from that range.

thats ok - he might not have to be a 3 point shooter.

He needs a Kevin Love (ideally 2012 kevin Love, not this current version) to help him with spacing and rebounding.

I believe Jovic could be a great fit next to Bam next year. A big with a natural 3 point shot, so Bam can focus on working inside and from the midrange.

Dunno why we're counting this out. Bam' developed that J over time & increased his ave every season. Currently averaged 20.4ppg this season. He's just 25yo w/ alot of time to develop the 3ball. He has a solid shooting form, that technique may help to extend his range. If his 29 & still not putting 3s up we can prob completely count it out.

I want 76ers to win their series. If Heat will have any chance in the Finals, then Bam will have to show up against AD or Jokic. May as well train for that by battling Embiid.

I stated something like this here but this is quoted frm myself on a betting site i posted:

I have a feeling they want a Boston vs Miami ECF 3.0 & Den vs LA WCF 2.0. Have an inkling they want a bubble Finals 2.0 Lakers vs Heat.

Just in case ya'll missed it in my vry 1st post. NBA loves Narratives. An LA/Miami NBA finals wld be massive for the NBA w/ the public's opinion about the bubble & Mickey Mouse trophy etc. Ratings would be huge esp w/ Butler trending & Lebron attracts ratings wether he's winning or not.

Just something to watch & think about as the series moves on.

Well it's all coming into fruition. Spot on about Heat, Denver & LA w/ all 3 squads advancing to Conference finals. Just waiting on Boston to join the party.

This is currently shaping out to be a repeat of the bubble atm. This may heading to a bubbles Miami/LA finals repeat. Get your nuts in tact gents, it cld be the revenge match up we've been waiting for. . .

I don't care what the media says, Bam is the best defender in the NBA and has been for the past 3 years. This is only further validated by the fact that his defensive skillset and utilization is tailor-made for the NBA playoff basketball. Yes, some guys can rack up nice blocking and rim protection in regular season basketball (usually while only covering a small portion of the baseline & paint area). But, Bam does everything on defense and is the foundation to Miami's playoff success on defense and defensive approach, as a whole.

So, let's think about Bam in the context of DPOY level players. On the other side of the ball, Bam is an efficient 20 ppg scorer within the flow of the offense (never a ballstopper). He's also the key cog for our offensive movement (between his elite screens and his action moving the ball from the elbows he literally is how we keep our offense in motion).

Who are the DPOY winners in the 21st century that have put up greater offensive outputs in their DPOY season than Bam does regularly?

- Giannis (2020)
- Kawhi (2015-2016)
- Dwight Howard (2009 & 2011)

That's the whole list.

If we want to go back into the 1990s you can add Zo (1999--MVP runner up & 2000), Gary Payton (1996), Hakeem, David Robinson.

*Edited: A lot of our own fans like to pretty regularly sh*t on Bam and downplay his impact and contributions on the court but I hope we can appreciate and understand him for how valuable and foundational he is to our team’s success.

I need a Herro update ASAP

He should be cleared very soon, and if by some miracle the Sixers win game 7 and we face them - he can be a HUGE factor against their drop defense.
