Do you guys miss when players had more designated roles and there was specialists? Not sure if every player having guard skills has helped the game. It did for a little while where traditional molds were being broken and it opened up the game but I think it’s gone too far lol

What do you guys think ?

We still have few players in that mold, but overall the skill ceiling of the league definitely gone up.

Yeah for sure old school style players still exist and I’m being hyperbolic but I find the game is less pleasing to the eyes. It obviously gets way better in the playoffs with more game planning and play calling. It also varies depending on which teams you’re watching.

I just found the game more enjoyable before the whole analytic / perimeter focused approach. Not every team has a perimeter magician like curry.

He makes almost nothing. A 2nd rd pick does nothing. Keeping him and try to use Rozier or Duncan contracts in a trade package for something significant is much more productive

A change in rules would certainly help, but I believe the skill ceiling in this era is so high that nearly everyone possesses multi-skills.
