If Raps put him in play with Siakim for Scoot, Simons, picks then mission accomplished for the Blazers.

Yea still don’t think they’d contend but Dame would think he could take that team to a championship until reality hits him

That Dame/Siakam/OG vs Kawhi/PG/Beal first-round matchup will be :onfire:

Why is the front offices mouth piece pushing so hard for 4 all stars? Patrick trying to convince Micky to pay the tax through the media I guess

How about this?

3 team deal
Pacers in - Herro
Pacers out - TJ McConnell, 19mil cash, #26 and #29

Washington in - Lowry, Robinson, MIA 2028 FRP protected and IND's #26 or #29 FRP

Miami in - Beal, McConnell, #26 or #29
Miami out - Herro, Lowry, Robinson, 2028 FRP protected

Washington get the multiple FRPs they wanted.

Pacers get a good SG on Haliburtons timeline for relatively cheap. (McConnell and 2 late FRPs)

Miami get Beal, a backup PG and an extra late FRP #18 to help fill out the roster on the cheap. Plus we get to 17mil under the second apron.

Maybe Miami don't get the 2nd FRP but I think that would still be good value for us.

McConnell is Jimmy’s boy which would ease the personal blow of trading Lowry away.

I’ve suggested adding McConnell before as part of a bigger deal in which Mia also acquires Hield and or Turner.

What he said. ^

Red = Miami, Blue = Wiz

Note: For 2022-2023, the data ends before the Finals, so Miami is actually better. I still have some web scraping to do.

It kinda sucks rooting for a franchise who doesn't really care about winning a title and really favors profits. It's exactly why I quit being a Bulls fan. The dumping of all-star Luol Deng for A.Bynum so they could waive him to save 12 million dollars right before his guarantee set in and the old 2 transaction trade with OKC to dump McDermott and Gibson for Payne, Morrow and Lauvergne were about the last straws and cemented my understanding they were all about profits and without Jordan that franchise would have won nothing.

Miami fans are extremely lucky to have one of the best run organizations in the NBA.

Yeah, but to be a Bulls fan in the 90s and watch them get past Detroit and what happened after!

Maybe the front office knows more about Butler and his mental and medical state. I would not be surprised to see a rapid decline on par with Wade after year one of the big three. Butler literally coasted for half the season and he still got hurt in the playoffs. Maybe this time we are looking at 60% of the season coasting and maybe a month after the Allstar game he starts to pick it up. We had to hit lighting in a bottle to even get into the playoffs, sometimes luck runs out. Thats why they are so desperate to get major help but again Mickey wouldn't pay for Lebron/Wade/Bosh, it's not realistic to see him paying for Butler who doesnt try for half the season.

Highly doubt it, Jimmy got hurt on a dirty flop by hart, that doesn’t happen and he’s fine and we might be champions right now. He’s coming off the best season of his career (so is dame) there won’t be a steep decline in 1 season

Can you imagine this team adding Beal turner buddy and McConnell? It’d be a wrap

There's a lot of delusional hopium in this thread, but asking a team to give us assets in a sign-and-trade for GABE and/or STRUS has to top the list. If it was intentional humor, then bravo.

Better retain them then, bad asset management to let them walk for nothing.

Liking the little obsession you have going for me lately :P

A lot of interest in both guys in a starting or bench role around the league but me thinking we should try to get something back for either if we lose them for nothing is the most delusional thing in a thread if speculating adding 2 of Beal dame KP Ingram and trying to throw our hat in the Zion race. Got it!

In fact, I can see a scenario in which Mia can get Dame with Grant instead of Beal and still get Hield, Turner, and McConnell.

Spoiler alert, you’re not gonna like the price that it would take to get all of these guys to join Jimmy lol

Strus and Gabe will probably sign outright to other teams and thats fine.. honestly their trade value was nothing at the deadline, we couldnt get a second rounder if we tried… and Strus did not make his stock better these playoffs.

Wouldnt shock me if his market is so dry he signs a one year prove it deal back with Miami.

Gabe stock went way up at the playoffs.. he will definitely get paid that 9-12 million per season by some team which is too rich for us when we are trying to land Dame..

Luckily the FO is too smart to do the last deal and Dame wants to be here because of Bam because he realizes how perfect of a winning and impact player he is to play with
