Looking at cheap vet free agent PG options to pair with Mitchell coming off the bench and two names come to mind. Malcolm Brogden and KD’s boy from BK Spencer Dinwiddie. Both bigger guards that can play along side Herro. Tim Hardaway Jr would be a nice get as a backup to Herro.

Always liked Brogdon. He'd be a nice veteran addition.

Davion seems perfect for bench PG, and can split time with The Brogdog. Brogdon also can play some 2 if necessary, as he's adept off the ball also.

So going by history:

AD goes to the Lakers, then New Orleans gets the #1 pick
Luka is traded to the Lakers, then the Mavs get the #1 pick

So that gives us the opportunity to do something very funny with Bam to get the #1 pick lol. The Lakers need an athletic defensive center lol.

I'm thinking of Tyus Jones as well. Maybe not ideal beside Herro, but he's shot the 3 at over 41% the last 2 years in a row and can dish it with 7 Assists and 1 TO in '23-'24 as a starter and 5 assists with 1 TO last year in Phoenix playing for the Vet min somehow.

Cavs won the lottery in 2003 to get lebron

They won the lottery again the season after lebron left them to get kyrie irving..

They won it again on lebrons free agency when he was going back to cleveland which they used to trade for kevin love

And now this bs with luka/nico drama lands them cooper flagg.

Its apparent what theyre doing, we need to do away with the lottery, period.

It turns out we had no clue, and the FO/fitness team knew Jimmy wasn’t the same anymore. He can perform at a high level for a few games, but not at the level he showed in the bubble or the 2023 Bucks series.

The Godfather always wins. Now bring us a whale.

Yep I’ve finally calmed down… I was on the finish 11th train (without making play in) but the raptors got the 9th pick. Screw the draft and screw tanking. We as a organisation always find a way whether it’s turning undrafted players into good role players or trading for players that help us compete. Carry on Miami….

If we come out of this off-season without Jeremiah Fears (That dream already died) and Kevin Durant I'm going to be so so disappointed man. I dont know if I can stomach another season of watching Herro, Bam, and Wiggins alternate as our #1 options offensively throughout a season again.

Except injuries, I can claim everything that could have went wrong - went even worse.

1) Bad season with very little fun, and team looked like mental midgets, leaderless.
2) Got embarrassed, not just lost, in the playoffs.
3) ruined the good memories we had with Jimmy, and hurt the organization image in the process.
4) didn't really lean into the youth movement expect for Ware late in the season.
5) lost a quality draft pick for nothing (I'd say that Cavs series had a net negative value)
6) Fan base not only sufferers most year, most also are losing faith in the decision makers.

7) Giving up our future (picks/Ware/Jovic) for 37 YO Kevin Durant will be the final nail in the coffin for me.

I thought about Tyus but then backed off thinking about how bad defensively our backcourt would be with Herro. He was getting benched in Phoenix because of how bad his defense was

Yep, same for me, follow this **** up with a bad offseason (just dare to not resign Davion or trade Ware) and I'm just ignoring them

You got what you wanted

I wanted to keep our pick next year so we can immediately tear it down. We’re halfway there.

The only way this season isn't remembered historically as a full nightmare bad is if paying up the OKC pick this year finally allows the front office to go full tank - play super young, obtain assets, and add 2 high lottery picks in the next 2 draft.

Pat made it clear they aren't going to tank. They are building around Bam/Herro (and I don't think this was some misdirection but real talk)

So it has to be another way.
If they resign Davion and turn the Terry contract into playable guy(s) (e.g. just attach Jaque-ass) and continue developing their young guys Herro/Ware/Jovic/#20 this season has potential to end up great, e.g. they make the 4-6 seed and suddenly ppl will talk different about their young players, who will be worth more.

I'm fine with this, but not fine with gutting the roster + assets for 37y old KD

I really lost all confidence in this front office.

This all "collective" decision making is a joke, there's no one accountable for anything and no clear vision for anything.

Every team has down years, but you can't have consecutive bad years and still have no clear path to get better or a plan to dramatically improve down the line.

When did we became the treadmilling Hawks?!
