Bosh will be the second highest paid player in the league next season. He better average 9+ rebounds. Heat were dead last in rebounding for the past two years, so Bosh needs to go to work because he wasn't even the leading rebounder in the last four years. Deng will help him out as well, but this team will struggle badly to secure possessions.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

I think we have enough for second round

If we were out west my expectations would be tempered, but in the east, I don't see a legit contender. I won't be surprised if we go to the Finals again.

Apparently the Knicks made a late push for Birdman.

Not really happy about this Birdman deal. Already 36...

Mcbob and Deng were nice signing but Granger and Chalmers are at least questionable. We are runing of cap space...

Basketball is more polarizing than most sports because generally a basketball team will have one franchise player. Unlike other sports such as football, where a team can lose a franchise player but field a better team.

In basketball losing a franchise player is more debilitating because they account for so much of a teams success. As Heat fans we need to realize that Miami is in a unique situation. Miami had three franchise players and because of that, the lost of Lebron is not crippling.

A team with two franchise players are generally in great position to win a title. Miami still have Wade and Bosh. For those that say Wade is finished, he averaged 19pts and about 4 rebs a game with only shooting between 12 to 13 shot attempts a game. A lot of games where we crucified Wade he had only missed 4 shot the entire game and shot something like 13 for 9 with 20 pts while shooting over 53%. With a few more shot I see no reason he can average 25 a game.

Miami has a chance to be a better team then they were last year with the pieces we are adding. Lebron made lesser players around him better but made elite players less effective as Lebron dominated the ball. We have become spoiled with thinking that it takes 3 franchise players to win a title.

If the stars align and Boozer is amenstied and falls in our lap we would have a starting five of

Chalmers/Cole
Wade
Deng
Boozer
Bosh

With a bench of

Grainger
Beasley (if resigned)
McRob
Birdman
Napier

Now that would be a really good team

But isn't Boozer a terrible player? His real plus/minus is one of the worst at his position.

Im guessing the Bird deal is a two year deal or a three year deal with a team option for year three. Were going hunting in 2016

Several teams made strong pushes for Andersen – including a late bid by the New York Knicks – but Andersen wanted to return to a roster core and franchise that will move on without LeBron James.

The Heat have provided a career renaissance for Andersen, who signed there as a free agent in 2012. Andersen has played 12 NBA seasons, including stays with Denver and New Orleans.

The theme here is chemistry. Keep key players in place, add new talent and push in a weak east.

As another poster stated, as great a loss as Lebron is, his presence hinders some of Bosh and Wades strengths. Are we a better team for it? No. But i feel were still a very good team. Top 3 in a weak east.

Thats a fighters chance in my book.

A dazed-and-confused Friday has led to a bring-it-on Sunday. Pat Riley rolled up his sleeves, began to counter-punch.

Have we heard anything more about a Norris trade or Chalmers S&T? Surely we won't keep Chalmers, Norris and Napier on the team next year, right?

So any word on what Ray Allen is going to do? Do we have a shot at getting him back or does he only want to play with LeBron?
