The negativity here is abundant for sure. Lets wait and see what happens. Riley pull tricks out when you least expect it. Who would have thought he could unload those fat contracts of Whiteside, Waiters, etc and land Jimmy in the end. I know I felt like the team was a wasteland before he pulled that trick off.

Feels similar today, but just when you think its doomed, Riley shows why he is the Godfather!

I wonder if extending Herro allows him to be traded easier knowing what he will cost and being locked down on a 4 year deal.

We may be a trade deadline team, seems more like the Heat M.O. rather than doing it in the offseason.

Now, how do we pry Dame Lillard from Portland? I know, ship sailed already...

I don't see the fascination. Dude shows up maybe 4 times a season.

His a big that can shoot, that's it. No real defense, no rim protection, no passing, he shoots, he's a 1 way player so Miami would still have to find a backup willing to play defense.

Yet in all your asinine trade proposal spamming he's the central piece that is supposed to make teams give up their centerpiece. Funny how that works

He’s a young scorer, people eat that up (like you). That being said, there’s a reason he hasn’t been traded for a star yet to improve the team and it’s not because Miami views him too highly to trade as we saw with Riley dogging him in his presser about being a god awful defender. Your terrible opinion doesn’t outweigh the facts of his game and the numbers that back it

Riley "dogged" him about as much as he dogged Bam's offensive game. Just leave it alone bro.

We barely paid with Lebron, Wade and Bosh here. It's one of those come to reality moments about the Heat as a whole. It's just something we need to remember and work with when talking about possible trades.

Lol cmon man the amount of luxury tax Micky spent on the Heatles alone would rank 10th among all teams all-time. That's TEAMS not owners so that includes teams who've had multiple different ownerships over the years. The amount he's spent on non-Heatles teams would be 15th all-time among all teams

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/cba/tax/

Is that web page even accurate? It says in a span of around 20 years we spent in total 52 million on the tax. That's in total including the Big 3.

For context, the Warriors on this season alone are spending 170 million on the tax. Not on salary no no no but just in the Tax.

Yeah those figures look more like just the dollar amount they went over the luxury tax threshold and not the total lux tax payment which is X amount of dollars multiplied by every dollar over the threshold. Like the Warriors only actually went $39m over the threshold to pay that $170m

I said that 50 pages ago. Anybody who doesn't have a problem with losing for so long like he has, isn't a Heat player.

Im sure he can think of 250 million reasons to be ok

Far from one dimensional y’all are down playing herro right now, Robinson is the definition of one dimensional

He’s a good regular season scorer, good rebounder for a guard, and a solid passer. He’s arguably the worst defender in the world and the team plays better when he’s off the court. You can’t pay $30M for that.

That doesn’t make him one dimensional though

Ok fine, he’s a solid offensive player who doesn’t make your team better. Is that better?

Bams offensive game is worlds better than Herros defense. Hell, if Bam shot as much as Herro he’d score more than Herro. The 2 really aren’t comparable, Bam is far better

Deadline for waiving Gallinari incoming. Could indicate chances of Miami's involvement..

Bad year to be UFA, there's not a lot of teams with cap space right now. Its almost first come first serve, theres a couple of guys wanting big dollars more than teams with money available that's for sure.

Zero interest in Gallo tbh. He's no longer that versatile 3 level scorer who could kill you from 3 or put it on the floor and draw fouls at a high rate. He's pretty much just a catch and shoot player now who's shot is wildly inconsistent from game to game

Same. But him being waived and not being part of a Murray package bodes well for Miami's involvement in their chase for Collins. Salary purposes. If he's not waived he will likely be included and there's no need for a 3rd team to facilitate.

Harden opted out to give Philly flexibility. So the scuttlebutt surrounding Tucker seems real now.

If the Heat are gonna lose depth (Dipo, Martin and Tucker), wants a player who can help carry the scoring load and build around Herro and Bam. The Heat should go all out for Malcolm Brogdon over John Collins. And fill in the depth down the road.
