What are the odds that this tweet is talking about what we are discussing in our threads here (and 3ammy as the lone 'Nay' vote)

Either way, very little chance this actually happened and I doubt anyone told Ira about it. Which other team is putting their franchise player on the table for KD ... Booker? Zion? Barnes? Halliburton? Lillard? I don't know who the franchise player for NYK would be, but they don't even want to trade RJ freaking Barrett and we have articles written about whether we should make Bam available or not :banghead:

2 picks for non stars feels like an overpay, albeit part of the cost of unloading Duncan is attaching an asset. If a KD deal doesn’t materialize I’d be down for Turner. The Pacers sound pretty committed to Smith too fwiw

I’d say Bam is probably one of the most untouchable players in the league

i dont understand why heat fans think bam is untouchaable... zero offensive game, and all he can really do is defend. we need to stop overrating our own players. if we can get KD for 3+ seasons at 34 for bam, im taking it. that could get us 2 titles before KDs starts to show his age. We can win this trade against brkn too, because no one is offering them anything we could offer Bam + one 1st Rounder pick and say take it or leave it. we could keep herro and put an insane offensive lineup of lowry/herro/jimmy/kd... just would need to find a good center, remember the miami heat big 3? we used all kinds of centers and we still found success.

Mathematically a lineup of Lowry/Herro/Jimmy/KD/Turner with Oladipo as a 6th man is feasible. It's an interesting thought, but I don't think the team has the appetite to move Bamonte for any player being discussed at the moment. Not just for defense but also looking forward to the future of the franchise. I agree with you on the point that its time for him to take the next step with his offense, there's really no excuses at this point. I wont be able to stomach another year of him passing up open jumpers or spamming dribble hand offs to one dimensional players.

I’m actually excited to see what Days brings. We definitely could see him in the rotation at some point during the season if he shows strides of being nba caliber. I’ve been a little down on the front office lately but that was a great snag

Yall need to give up on Turner. He's not an actual floor spacing big.

Exactly! Bam is so overated among some heat fans. I will ask this question again: If Bam is a star in this league then..Why are we all looking to trade for another star?

its funny how we can possibly get Durant now and lure Mitchell 4 years down the road when the knicks continue to suck

Return to Miami Heat
