Kolek in rd 2 would be a nice add. I wonder if he makes it there.

Kolek will not get drafted at 15 but in this crazy draft he could very well slip to 43. His measurables might cause him to fall but he’ll have a very long career as a McConnell type backup PG. He’s going to be a real pain in the ass to play against just like he was at Marquette.

I don't think Kolek is on McConnell's level as a defender, but I def see the similarities with their floor games and ability to get into the paint/midrange and convert. Hopefully Kolek's 3pt shooting proves to be legit

I don't think he lasts until Miami's round 2 pick, but if he did he would be towards the top of my list

Looking like late first imo. Either reach at 15 or get a steal at 43.

I respectfully disagree. While we've done OK, outside of Bam we haven't really hit it out of the park with any of our other picks in recent times. A lot of that is obviously us not picking high, but there's no need to overstate our draft success.

Nah I totally don't agree with that. Pretty much every pick we've had outside of Precious and Winslow have out played their draft place. You don't have to be an allstar for a pick to be good, especially when they're all late lottery or mid to late first round. Winslow #10-Miss(but considered a steal at the time), Richardson #40 -Hit, Bam #14-Hit, Herro #13-Hit(Was compared to
Nik Stauskas coming into the draft), Precious #20-Miss, Jovic #27-Hit, Jaquez #18-Hit

Finding rotation players in the late lottery and outside of the lottery is good, finding them in 2nd rounders is great. Most of these guys straight up don't hit at all for most teams.

Whats interesting is that our misses are apocalyptically bad.

Beasley. The guy was the easiest pick ever. A rare talent who was assured of forming a ridiculous tandem with Wade. Dude got traded to Minny for a 2nd round pick. I bout puked. Major hindsight whiff. Allstars drafted behind him.

Winslow. Dude was the 2nd easiest pick ever after dropping to the 10th. This board laughed its ass off and reveled in our ridiculous luck. Laughed at the silly package offered by Ainge (this hurts). We had drafted our next franchis changer! ......

Precious. A ton of guys on here were pro Maxey. It was a very solid BPA type choice. Now Maxey is on the precipice of being an ASG staple. That and we trade Achiuwa for Kyle freakin Lowry. What a waste.

Compared to teams like the 76ers, Hornets, or Hawks, those misses I can live with. They can happen to anyone. Besides, I still think for the level of player Precious turned out to be, the first 2 years of lowry were pretty productive. He was impactful when he cared. Idk if Precious would be infront of Jovic in the lineup based on how he turned out now.

Expecting Holland and Topic to drop means two players the Heat may want will go early. I do expect their will be more who were seen as top ten to drop.
