Very impressive for Herro. Let's fully exorcise these demons and see it through the rest of the season.

Also Lavine...

Wiggins, Schroeder, GP2, Looney for Jimmy, JRich, and Burks works out. Sort out whatever pick situation (if any). I wanna see what a halfway competent roster surrounding Herro/Bam/Ware looks like for the rest of the season. Everyone there is expiring except for Wiggins. Schroeder banishes Rozier to the end of the bench, we get a backup 5 in Looney, and GP2 is a Spo type player.

Herro/Duncan/Wiggins/Bam/Ware
Schroeder/GP2/Highsmith/Jovic/Looney

It's not a contender or anything but if the goal is not taking on long-term salary and improving the team the rest of the season then this is fine.

Because we don’t want the years on Wiggins and Anderson’s contracts

But then Rex won’t be happy.

Yes get Lavine if Fox isn’t happening please, he excels in areas Herro lacks offensively and they’ll compliment each other well. Won’t overlap as much as people think

That’s what I would like as a return for the Heat. Get one young piece, and 2 defensive guards to round out the roster.

Kuminga 100% will not be involved and the Heat don't want to deal with his contract either. He's essentially like dealing for a long term contract

I agree that the Heat won’t extend, but I feel that deal is reasonable for Jimmy. And at the very least you can get something back for him via ST in the offseason. In the short term, it’s more size and athleticism on the roster.

A frontcourt of Ware, Bam and Wiggins is a elite level defense

He has a player option in 26. Bit risky. But it may not be a bad move.

MIA- Wiggins-Brown-Payton-Boucher GS 1st
GS- Butler-Love
Tor- Duncan- Looney- Anderson GS 1st

That would seem like an amazing return at this point.

I heard Heat interest in Brown but I don't want him. Just trade Butler to Warriors for Wiggins, Payton, Schroder and picks. Now the Heat have;

PG: Schroder - Jaquez - Rozier - Payton
SG: Herro - Robinson - Burks - Larsson
SF: Wiggins - Highsmith
PF: Bam - Jovic - Johnson
Ce: Ware - Love

That's two tough veteran playoff contest players in the starting lineup

Wiggins is actually on a good value contract imo. Great defender when engaged, with the ability/talent to be a #1 but willingness (or even preference) to take a back seat. He was easily the 2nd most important player in that last Warriors championship. Think he'd be a great fit in Miami but I'm not sure how willing the Warriors are to trade him for Jimmy. Kinda feels like barely more than a lateral move at that point.

why the obsession with '26?? Fox was supposed to be a big target and he will be clearly be off the board. Luka is not turning down the most lucrative contract ever to play with Bam and Tyler.. outside of being able to make more moves on the margins there isn't much to look forward to and they may end up overpaying for a lesser player because of having cap space with little star options.

Also, Wiggins is tradable... he isn't Beal. They can move him next season for an expiring to a contender or something. He has value.

Fox
Herro
Ingram
Bam
Ware

Wonder how possible that would be. Not a bad team honestly and they compliment each other.

This is the best trade. This puts complementary pieces built around Herro and Bam so they can prove if they can carry a team. And you keep all the young pieces and the draft picks.

The only thing I want from the Raptors is Olynyk. Burks and Payton for KO

I don't care for Wiggins, but he would check a lot of boxes (veteran who can help now, good contract, championship experience) and is INFINITELY better than Brown, who is a glorified journeyman.

That said, where I think Brown fits in is Miami would send Toronto Rozier + someone from the GSW and get Brown back while taking on Olynyk to subsidize Rozier next year.

Miami gets Wiggins, Brown, Schroder, Olynyk
Toronto gets Rozier, Looney, and some draft compensation from the Warriors
Warriors get Butler

I dunno, I'm just not sure this makes much sense for Golden State.

Spoiler:
Jackson Davis / K Anderson
Green / Kuminga
Butler / Gui Santos
Hield / Podziemski
Curry / GP II

I am much more in favor of a deal with Milwaukee that brings back Middleton and Portis, but that is a more complicated deal.

I remember watching Maple Jordan on the come up I followed his HS career and was so hyped for him as a prospect. The guy never became what I thought he could, but still he’s a very solid player in the NBA. We could do much worse while waiting for a whale

Right now I am enjoying this current Heat team, giving me something fun like Wiggins to watch the rest of this season and the next I’m for.

You add Wiggins onto this team and legitimately I believe we are a top 4 seed in the East with the potential to make things weird on teams in the playoffs.

Return to Miami Heat
