the olynik signing reminds me a lot of the mcbob signing right now.

Phuck no man not even close. KO is far and wide better then McBob. KO was a lottery pick and was a key player for Boston. They are going to miss him. Watch

I'd say that Peak McBob is as good as if not slightly better than Olynyk. Unfortunately Peak McBob lasted about 5 days LMAO

Olynyk was a lottery pick, and has been a better shooter than McRoberts ever was. Olynyk is a career 37% 3 point shooter on 2.5 attempts. And has peaked at 40% on 3 attempts. McRoberts has never displayed that level of shooting. And when you look at their PER 36 splits, they suggest Olynyk is a far better rotational player ever was too.

Barry Jackson is stating that Miami Heat made offers for Irving, but Cleveland not really interested in any of the Heat players. Reports are Cleveland want Josh Jackson and Eric Bledsoe but Pheonix is reluctant to give up Jackson or Booker. Cavs and Suns talked prior to the draft on a Irving trade and Cavs were willing to trade Irving for Bledseo and 4th pick (which became Jackson) but Suns declined then. Heat best chance is teams do not want to give in to Cavs demands and the Cavs may return to discussion with Heat. But as of right now, the Heat do not think Cavs interested in dealing with Heat not only because of the pieces but Cavs do not want to deal him to the east.

"(Irving's trade request) didn't surprise me, I knew as (the Cavs) were doing their due diligence on me I was doing the same thing on them," Billups said in an interview on the Vic Lombardi Show on Altitude Sports 950 AM in Denver on Tuesday. "I knew so much about the situation that the rest of the world doesn't know. But it's unfortunate man because he's a special talent. So much of what he's been able to accomplish on and off the floor has been as the beneficiary of LeBron James. That would be alarming to me if I was a team looking to get him."

Really silly from Billups.

Can't anyone understand that being regarded as the second man is not what Kyrie Irving wants anymore? Because he won a title with LeBron means he has to become his slave and do what LeBron tells him to do about his career? Really silly comment.

Irving should be lauded on the contrary and the 29 other teams should be impressed by him: he can make the finals every year and yet he decides he wants to go the tough route by quitting the best player in the NBA to show everyone and probably himself that he's capable of being one of the best in the game.

Can't anybody understand this? Terrible judgment from Billups side. To quote him "That sort of judgment would be alarming to me if I was a team looking to get him as my GM". There you go.

exactly.

The last player to do this was Kobe Bryant, when he wanted to get away from Shaq's shadow and be his own man and show the world he can win as the Alpha.

So the longer this drags out the higher the chances the Cavs comeback to the HEAT to make a trade.

I'd package anyone on the team for Irving. Not because I think he is some great talent or is gonna make us start winning more games. But because you need a guy like him on the team that other players wanna play with.

No one gives a damn about Hassan or Dragic around the league. These are your run of the mill guys that are good players but won't attract other FA or take us to the promised land.

This is a star league now more than ever, guys are literally right now colluding all over the league to form the next and next "super team". It would be a heck of a start if he had a star PG that players all over the league love and want to play with.

This is where I like having Riley. I know most of you will say "no way our chemistry blabla" but Riley..... Riley knows what has to be done.

If he can turn a d league guy from Lebanon and Dragic etc into a young Star PG that will attract big names all over the place to Miami, he will do it no doubt about it. I have no faith in Riley to build a conventional team with solid players here and there 1-15. Riley is the type that will go for the big fish. Riley is the type of guy that goes for the disgruntled star. Riley is the type of guy that would make this trade. And I hope he does. This team is a mediocre team at best with no superstar in sight.

Go get him Riles.

Whiteside, Dragic, (anyone else have your pick Cavs) and we will even eat Shumpert contract to boot.

What's the alternative? Run back this same mediocre team and hope for the best? No one is beating the Warriors right now. So landing Kyrie could bring us PG13 next season and Cousins etc. This is what Riley is good at, and I expect Kyrie in a heat uniform pretty soon to be honest.

Return to Miami Heat
