Rex started the agenda, I’m just riding the wave. I’m all for this, better player, much more versatile. Great size, fills a position of need, etc. something like this frees up Rozier and gives Bam and Jimmy help in the front court

Boston reporter just throwing out obvious guesses. Of course Grant is a perfect fit but don't mean it's going to happen. Very little chance considering Portland vehemently did not want Herro but yet we still think Cronin is a trading dance partner.

I wish we could fix our problem. It is size. Bam is a small center. He's a PF.

I wish we would go after a player like Steven Adam. Big and tough in the middle.

Push Bam to PF.

Problem is you can't just put any big player next to Bam cause he can't shoot from deep and is even having problems in the mid range though I think he'll get that back to norm. It either has to be a stretch center that's somewhat mobile like a KO or go for a 6'7-6'9 230-240 player who can stretch the floor like a Bojan Bogdonovic.

Does he have more value? This is an honest question. It should be noted like you said Herro and Terry overlap and we saw how cheap we got Terry. That makes Herro and his value questionable, but I could be wrong here. For us Duncan is important but Mickey won't pay the tax for this team so something has to give.

He's paying the tax this year. That's pretty obvious. And this summer, when we were supposedly shopping Herro, we were being offered expiring contracts and a first or two (based on what Portland wanted). I'm sure the same package could probably be rerouted for a player who fits next to Bam.

And if you're worried that that's all Herro will return, imagine how much less we'll get for Robinson...

It's easier to dump the soon to be 30 year old Robinson making 19.4 million next year then it is selling low on a 24 year old Herro. With Robinson a team with plenty of cap space will give up a useful expiring if the sweetener makes sense for them. It's essentially kicking a tradeable contract down another year. You can't just sell low on a 24 year old Herro just yet.

I don’t think Bojan is doable, they’re attached to him for whatever reason. It will for sure cost a 1st if anything

I’d be pretty excited to see:

Rozier
Duncan
Jimmy
Grant
Bam

Swap Vincent, Strus, Zeller, and Lowry from our finals run for Rozier, Grant, JJJ, and Jrich. Love is better, Duncan is better, bam is better and more experienced as an offensive focal point after last playoffs. Then we bring in a buyout guy or 2 to fill weak spots in the bench rotation.

I’m fine with letting go of Jovic in any deal that improves the team, I’m just not sure how the Pistons would view him. No clue what his value is around the league

Chicago gonna speed up the firesale. Their big trade piece is taking himself out of the market.

Might be the right time to go after Patrick Williams or Caruso

Looking at there depth chart it would seem like Jovic would be a good stretch 4 developmental piece to go along with Duren and Beef Stew. Duncan gives them a shooter to replace Bojan and also has the connection with John Belein who is the head of player development for the Pistons. Might be a path of least resistance instead of having to deal with that prick Ainge who will try to game us for KO till the last minute of the deadline.

Fire sale usually means expiring contracts , young cost controlled players, and picks. They ain’t taking Herro’s deal with LaVine’s deal eating up there cap.

Aww PW is damage goods, he got no trade value on the market and he is expiring. Give them Dru and Highsmith and we take our chances
