From his perspective, he was signed into a 2 year deal and then he was traded months into the season...probably salty about that.

Or from our perspective he played 10 games with us. Availability is extremely important.

Let’s just hope he doesn’t sign elsewhere for 2.6mil or there abouts.. because he would still be playing more than haslem :D

My hope for KZ and Gabe come from at one point thinking Duncan wasn't an NBA player, then look what he has become. If Gabe can consistently find away to hit his shot, he's got a spot on this team because he's a smart player. With KZ, he needs to find some type of offense because he's looked like a black hole on that end.

One has nothing to do with the other. What we want from Haslem, we get. He fills his role. Bradley didn't and ended up making himself expendable...

Gabe needs to learn how to shoot vs pros. The same with Strus. Gabe and Strus I don't care about how they look vs non pros. I want to see how they fair in the preseason.

KZ is not a blackhole thats the wrong term. Blackhole means someone who doesn't like to pass. KZ is nervous pervous when he gets the ball. He is over thinking and not reacting instinctually. Its how Robinson was his first month starting. He has to shake that out of his system or he will be out of the NBA.

With UD we are replaying a Debt we owe him with interest. UD is from the 305, he’s no idiot and we know the loyalty family and culture are just a buzz word here. If we ever back out he has enough incriminating evidence that would make the Howard punishment look like a slap on the wrist.

What might that be from Haslem:

Leadership, culture, an example to the younger players, toughness, experience, etc. Haslem is an intangibles player who never sees the court but he carries weight that the coaching staff can't.

And Bradley hasn't played in more than 55 games but once since 2016. Sorry, I'm not seeing why people on this board have such a thing for him...

What are you talking about? This is a bizarre hot take on the Haslem situation. Am I understanding you correctly? You are saying that Haslem is holding us hostage?

BasketBall is a business, and the odds of picking up a meaningful player to sit at the end of the bench.... well they make blackjack look like a stable career. You have to look no father then this boards response to guys like KZ, Gabe, Silva or any host of end of the bench players. UD works as much for the marketing and recruiting departments as he does the coaching staff. From an organization stand point he is a value added employee. He is loyalty personified, and a demonstration that loyalty is a two way street. His story will be used for decades to come, a couple extra years on the bench versus some random g league guy that was washed in and will wash out is a small price to pay. Let’s not act like first picks are missing opportunities at the expense of keeping him.

UD is making sure we keep our part of the deal. He took deals that left over 15+ mil on the table to be a Heat player in his prime. We have an unsaid agreement but again he’s no idiot so he has leverage over us. At the end everyone is happy, we come out looking great because we honor our word, we take care of our players. I’m ok with us signing UD until the debt is paid.

All the complaints you have with UD the Heat was going to replace him with another old head any ways. The players they added was meant to be part of the primary rotation.

If we can get a healthy Oladipo it would change the entire dynamic of our team. Guy is still only 28.

But dang, Spo will be playing Lowry, Oladipo, Duncan, Butler and Bam at the same time. Super small team :(

Although he was rusty, he still had some big games last year.
