Cut White and Hammond. Add a sf and pg.

I like it. Lots of versatility on offense and defense

Bottom line is, it doesn't look like any of these deals are crazy bad money. They'd be moveable.

I still expect, Riley being Riley, he'll be speaking with top FA's next offseason - cap space be damned.

Too many SGs.
Ellington or McGruder need to go. Neither can play the 3, unless we're moving J-Rich to be backup 3

Riley, Heat turn to Plan C: sign Olynyk, on verge of trade to clear cap space for Ellington, Johnson

Just when you thought Pat Riley was going to settle into Plan B and bring back the same Miami Heat team that finished the second half of last season 30-11, he turned to Plan C Thursday night.

In a surprising move, the Heat reached an agreement to sign former Celtics center Kelly Olynyk, 26, to a four-year, $50 million deal and was in the midst of completing a trade with the Dallas Mavericks to free up more cap space to re-sign forward James Johnson and guard Wayne Ellington, a league source confirmed.

According to The Vertical, Miami will reportedly send forward Josh McRoberts (on the final year of a $6 million deal) and a future second round pick to Dallas for center A.J. Hammons, a 2016 second round pick, who could be released to free up cap space...

What's the +/- on our guys getting in scraps this year? Lol

Even though we didn't make huge moves I think this team will be better than last year and I'm good with that.

#3 seed, **** it.

^ McGruder started all year at the 3 (essentially). Ellington played it at times too.

Positionless baby.

Our roster is like a shining example of positionless basketball. Winslow, tj, j rich, jj, dion, olynk, mcgruder, and Okaro can all play more than one position on both sides of the ball. Lots of guys who can do a bit of everything. We're gonna see some wild lineups lol.

Just gotta hope the 30-11 was real and that some more superstars become disgruntled in the next couple of years.

Agreed. Either use the Room Exception to bring in a veteran or develop a guy, but we need a decent backup...

Mcgruder, dion, j rich, Winslow, jj, and Okaro can all guard small forwards. I don't think 1-5 really matters anymore. It's more like pg's, wings, and bigs. We have plenty of guys who can guard perimeter oriented wings.

offering on a RFA means you tie up your own cap space for days.
