Indiana is clueless as always.

They would match in a heart beat. Ayton wanted the Suns max which would start him at over 30+ million. You are tell me you can sign Ayton to basically Brunson money, yeah the Suns will take it and run. Heck would you rather have Herro at 26 mil a year or Ayton at 26 mil a year? To put it in perspective the difference between Ayton start contract and Duncan is around 8 million dollars  Yeah they would match it in a heart beat.

Our mistakes dont mean other teams have to follow them. Ayton I really don't see the appeal. I'd rather have Turner on a cheaper deal honestly.

Too bad the Nets had no problem screwing us on Tyler Johnson's contract.

Might this be an option for Miami at PF? He's an inch taller then Highsmith and about the same weight.

Not a power forward option. Just depth at wing option. Heat inquired about him a long time ago. Its not something that happened recently

Resigning Martin filled that press forward position

**** KD, get a PF and run it back.
Hope Lowry shows up in shape, hope Bam stops playing like a 5 year old on offense, Uncan adds some D an shoots the ball like a pro player and that Herro is not an empty stat sheet player that shrivels up like a naked man’s penis out in the snow in Alaska.

I’d love to take a page out of the Timberwolves playbook and go big. We’ve already got our PF, he just needs to be pushed out of his comfort zone and start playing aggressive on a consistent basis.

What’s happening with Ayton provides support for holding off on Herro.

Suns don’t even want the guy yet his RFA status makes him an asset. And Suns have all the control. They can re-sign outright, match any offer, or trade as part of a large package. They hold all the cards and he is a viable asset.

The second we give Herro his money we lose that.

The downside is potential hurt feelings. But so be it. We are going for a title in the short term.

Signing Herro to an extension might hurt us short-term, but if he balls out on a good contract (4/110 for example), he is a great asset for next off-season.

Bigg Andy is the numbers guy so if he's talking to Marks perhaps its about how to make a trade premise work under the cap? Trying to be optimistic here

I agree. If he outplays the contract it is good.

But…. He can also become a negative asset if he doesn’t live up to the deal.

Keeping him an RFA makes him need to ball out next year. And he is worth whatever the market wants to give him. It leaves the options endless.
