If true, the rationale, I suppose, would have been to reset their timeline, which would have been a sound move considering that they are ways off from playoff contention.

Also means that they are open to moving him.

Herro is no where near the prospect that Cade is, but I were to indulge the idea (the source is complete gutter trash btw) Herro is slightly younger than SGA so it buys them a little while longer, and they do covet draft picks, so a package of 2-3 future first rounders could pique their curiosity.

Cade was also the hometown star so that probably played a part too.

I’m open to Herro Duncan Yurt 3 1sts and 2 swaps for Mitchell, I’d do the same for SGA

SGA gonna be a real good player, but I'd rather we trade for a guy in their their prime or closer to it. We don't have the luxury of waiting for guys to reach their max potential. SGA would definitely be better for us than Herro but not sure its worth giving up all our future picks for as well.

Not as far fetched as you think and both sides have offered a publicly to reconcile. The Lakers aren’t in a position to contend. All it takes is LeBron to want out and ask for a trade. The Lakers can’t refuse LeBron because it would degrade the front office to potential superstars wanting to come to LA as LeBron did. He’s a top 3 player of all time, and not giving him a chance to compete with the roster around him is a big hit for LA’s management already, not being willing in moving him out with tangible value coming back towards the future to them is a real bad look.

This conditions are perfect for Riley should he want to do this

If LeBron wanted out it would already be known. I get this is the part of the offseason where fans want to throw anything at the wall to see what sticks but this is nonsense.

Lebron is the one who put it out there not the fans. I don't think its happening this offseason. I think Lebron let it out there just in case midseason the Lakers collapsed again. I think he'll start the season with LA. But if lets AD gets hurt again for a considerable amount of time, I can see him and Lakers engineering a trade for him to go to contender and for LA to get some assets for the future. I don't think he was go to a 3rd season without contending. But for sure he'll start next season in LA whether he finishes there will depend on how everything goes

I could probably be talked into this deal.

Have no idea if it would work cap wise.

Cap wise there are no issues

Go back and read the post where Bammy provided context for what he said, my last reply on this fairytale subject.

Mitchell would be a great step in the right direction , Butler ain't getting any younger, I think Pat needs to trade him before he starts losing value

JB is an awesome player, but right now A Butler versus Mitchell trade would be okay for both teams... a year from now... I don't think so... the question is will Pat want to pull the trigger??

Okay, I'm good with Mitchell.

Jazz get - Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Gabe Vincent, 2022 FRP, 2023 FRP and Pick swaps

Heat get - Donovan Mitchell

Send it.

They are all training in NY this weekend it looks like and celebrating the trainers b day. Melo was also there among others. If Mitchell was a free agent and we had cap space this type of photo would get me excited. He’s locked into a long term deal with Ainge in the front office. These guys can play to the cameras all they want. Mitchell can demand a trade all he wants but does not mean Utah has to agree. We literally just saw how the Sixers dealt with Simmons making him absolutely miserable until they found the deal they wanted. Ainge would probably make it his personal duty if Mitchell demands the Heat to make sure he ends up in Boston lol.

We aren't trading Jimmy.

Jimmy wouldn't be in a photo with Mitchell if the plan was to trade him for Mitchell.

Does Melo being there also suggest he’s coming too
