Wonder if Dallas would be interested in a Wiggins for PJ Washington and Caleb Martin deal. Wiggins reunites with Klay. PJ hasn’t been a great fit for them at SF and his contract is coming up. PJ is also good friends with Herro. Been wanting PJW here for a long while now. He fits

Definitely think we need to be keeping our 20th pick. If Simon is doing work we need to trust he’s going to bring in a much needed guard.

As a KD fan, I like the fit on the Heat the best. In the East, & y’all clearly need a number 1 scorer. I don’t think there’s any egos like Booker and will let KD cook. Everything went downhill once he got hurt and Booker became the number 1 option.
I don’t think it would take much since the ball is in his court. Rozier, Robinson, Jaime, Jovic 2 1sts. Trade Wiggins for a shot creator and find another Spo diamond in the rough and definitely a top 3 or 4 team in the east.

I think most can agree the fit with KD and the Heat is seamless and now that we own our pick in 2026, and 2027 lottery protected. I don’t see any reason why we don’t swing for the fence here and try to maximize the Bam and Herro window. If things fall flat we are protected with the picks the next two years but i have a feeling Durant will still be performing well into his late 30’s like Lebron.

Got to shoot your shot.
Opportunity waits for no one.
That seems like a good package for a 37 year old.

Re: 2025 Regular Season Thread Vol. 9
My goal for this series is to fight hard and show we belong but above anything else show guys outside (like KD) that this team just needs a little boost to get over the top and through 2 games in Cleveland we’ve done just that imo. Let’s get these home games and make it a series, push them to at least 6 but if anything just don’t go out and get swept. If we lose game 3 the sweep is likely en route.
I view this season a lot like Detroits season last year. They lost several clutch games last year by 3 points or less (like we did this season) and they went out and got 3-4 vets that really fit their team and had solid internal development as well. The result of those changes and adding reliable pieces to the roster was jumping from I believe the worst record in the league up to the 6th seed. If we can add a KD we win a lot of those clutch games and those games we threw away after leading by double digits. I also imagine some vets wanting to sign here to fill out the roster/rotation and I’m a proven vet >>>> undrafted prospect type of guy on a team that’s trying to win games.
We need to snag KD, make a couple solid signings, and have some internal development from everyone. Young guys getting better next year instead of taking 3 steps back like Jaime, getting off this dead money for actual contributors, Bam putting his more polished offensive game together and having a much more efficient season next year if not the best of his career, guys who only play and give effort on one side of the ball need to get better on that side of the ball, etc.
We can turn this thing around quick, if you don’t win it all with the improvements then see what moves can be made to get over the top the following year.

I hope we can get it done without Jovic. Jovic would actually develop so much learning behind KD, just imagine.
But if he must be included for KD then you have to do it.

Saudades.

If we can flip Wiggins to a 3rd team and give them those players it’s possible. They are going to want a 4 in return just looking at there depth chart.

Edrice masterclass to no surprise, Kawhi is going crazy.
Garland has been food just like Tyler but they’ve gone at Tyler almost double the amount we have garland. That’s just smart offense and game planning, we don’t have that offensively unfortunately. Ware doing bad sticks out, we need him to be better there. We need those highlight blocks to build momentum. Tyler came out in an interview and said it’s hard for him to give effort on defense so I guess that’ll never change.

Re: 2025 Regular Season Thread Vol. 9
Sorry, making my first stroll through twitter and seeing a lot of good info. Our top 2 guys need to have a 25% usage rate at minimum EVERY night. Unless we’re just completely blowing someone out and it’s not necessary, that’s the only time it’s ok for that to not be the case.

I would consider that a win if it forced a Mitchell-herro-niko-bam-ware line up.

Re: 2025 Regular Season Thread Vol. 9
While there’s no excuse for being this bad of a defender I will say to take some heat off of Herro, Wiggins is also giving up 14/25 shooting for 56% from the field for his opponents. That’s high volume as well and he didn’t even play the 4th last night.
At least with Tyler, despite him saying he doesn’t give effort on the defensive end, he’s almost physically incapable of defending at a high level any ways. Wiggins is like 6’8 with a 7 foot wingspan and is insanely athletic. Guys should not be able to pick on him like this.
He’s supposed to be our 3rd best player, hell a random 40 point game had everyone saying he was our best or 2nd best (lmao!!). I’m not sure he’s better than Davion at this point. He is averaging 12-4-3 on 11 shots a game AND giving us nothing at all defensively, this is who we traded our best player for. We got absolutely fleeced.
Ware is also giving up 10-15 shooting and needs to be much better
