Bostons defense was already getting a little average under Mozzarella.. if they trade away their two best on the ball defenders for a guy that gets smoked by giannis and embiid often and theyre in more trouble

Lavine, Sexton, Porter Jr.: Herro fills this role and I doubt they trade him
Christian Wood: Is a Free Agent, no way to get him, unless cap space is freed somehow
Siakam: Probably not going to be traded because Toronto is still not rebuilding
Bojan Bogdanovic: Getting him for Duncan + smth. would be great. Yes, he's old, but they can try to win next season and after his deal is expiring and you get rid of the Duncan contract, I like this a lot
Porziņgis If he opts in he should be one of the main targets. The fit looks very good and having him on an expiring deal isn't bad either, because he likely will play for a new deal so can't afford to slack.
I'd love to add Bojan + KP for Duncan + Lowry/Oladipo and then go ahead resign Gabe/Strus/Love on reasonable deals and I would feel pretty good about their chances to come out of the East again.
Why in the **** would the Pistons trade Bojan, who is an amazing fit for their team and they said no to offers of heavy net positive value last year, for Duncan?
I think At minimum they’d want pick 18 + a net value player (Caleb?) + maybe even a Highsmith type guy.
Oladipo to make $$ work?
Duncan would pretty much be the only way to do it, because there are no other contracts they could combine that would make sense. It's almost perfect contract match next season.
It would have to be Duncan + picks, pretty much so the trade here is draft capital for Bojan and Detriot taking on that Duncan contract.
I'm not saying this is happening or likely to happen. Infact, I don't see it happening, because there is no reason to take on Duncans contract if you are Detroit.
Is John Belein still there? Maybe he wants his Mich guy

John Beilein’s favorite singer is Adele, who is dating Klutch CEO Rich Paul. Deal killer.

My target this offseason would be Kristaps Porzingis. I would be looking to move Robinson, Oladipo, and a first or two (I know, it's a lot, but I think he's worth it). I'm then sitting down with Tyler Herro and telling him, in no uncertain terms, that he is our 6th man of the year - our Manu Ginobili - and that he has to be okay with that. We are at our best when we have a balanced scoring attack.
I'm letting Strus go, resigning Vincent and Love, developing Jovic, and looking at Orlando Robinson, Jamal Cain, and a point guard (not sold on Bouyea) with our developmental roster spots.
Pg: Vincent / Lowry
Sg: Martin / Herro
Sf: Butler / Highsmith
Pf: Porzingis / Jovic - Love
Cc: Bam / Robinson
That's it. I love the idea of Dame, but he may not be attainable. Porzingis is and he fits an immediate need.

People also need to understand its just as much Klutch steering clients away as it is the org not being interested. Rich Paul knows he handled the summer of 2014 like a slithering snake.

Nope. You want three ball spams from your two to offset the non spamz from Butler and Bam.
Caleb at the 2 is a nope

Agreed, and generally with our cap situation and new CBA -
It's almost a must to get real production of our young guys. You can't have 8 rotation players all making real money. We have to play a few kids that play well above their pay grade, jut like we did with Vincent and Strus.

VaDe255 wrote:My prediction for 2023-24 season:
- They run it back, because there is nothing they can get with limited assets and the cap hell situation
- They are obviously too cheap as well (Beal deal clearly showed the FO true colors) and don't pull the trigger when a good opportunity to upgrade the roster presents itself
- End up anywhere between 5-10
- Bounce in the playin or 1st round this time
Then we can talk next offseason about trading JB and rebuilding around Bam.
I don't like it, because the time to go allin or start a rebuild is now, but it's gonna happen.
If smart were a true color. You don't go over the second apron for Beal. Especially not when you can just give the ball to Herro and ge the same or more. Give them a little credit...

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

All these guys can score, none are perfect. Most are attainable, if we can get them by using Duncan/Lowry/Dipo + pick/s, some are worth it if we get a good deal.
Most teams I'd say stay away from KPJ, Miami... they could start him at PG, give him the same green light Nunn/Vincent had and have a 20ppg guy on a Robinson contract. I believe Miami can get players under 20 mil a year scoring 20ppg and KPJ is one of those guys like Sexton too. I'd also roll the dice on Wood and Bojan on a high teens scorer but at PF.
I don't like paying top dollar for non proven scoring at the playoff level, I'd rather find "scorers" for much cheaper and expect Spoelstra to get the most out of them.
There's a situation that most Miami fans don't seem to get, players are usually BETTER in Miami under Miami's environment and coaching staff, so when looking at players on the team and players being looked at on another team, please consider the Miami bump they would get being in Miami or the drop off these current players may have if they left Miami.
Not all players. Immature players (like Winslow and Beasley) struggled here.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

I think it’s a complete pipe dream that will be equal to winning the lotto, but then again, I remember thinking that there was no way Lebron would choose Miami.
