Miami won’t be the only suitor for KD

Until they actually win one of these bidding wars, I’m taking a ‘not holding my breath’ approach

Looking at this depth chart and I can see why Burks was less than enthused to bang those drums lol.

Think you nailed it.

Not sure if Jovic has played any time at all the past 2 seasons as the de facto Center. He doesn't really do the people moving/paint bumping things you'd want from your center to a sufficient degree.

I know we want to fit in Slo-Mo but I believe Bam will continue to be 50-50 center and PF (only PF in minutes shared with Ware) and Jovic will get most of his minutes at PF (maybe call it combo forward).

Not to beat a dead horse but KD is going to go exactly where he wants to go. We just have to hope it’s still Miami as the team he wants to play for if not Phoenix. If not then it’s not happening

He’s only listed on there for depth chart purpose but you are indeed correct that Bam is the center when Ware comes off the court and Jovic slides to the PF spot. Then through out the game will get variations of Bam/Ware with Jovic and Anderson within a 4 man rotation. In jumbo lineups can default also to Jovic or Anderson at SF.

Typically, players have a short list of acceptable teams that they are willing to go to.

It’s then incumbent upon those team to make an acceptable trade offer, and therein lies the problem.

Mia’s offers have been easily trumped in recent years and until that changes, I’m not holding my breath that it will.

Well he had his 1 preferred (Suns) last time and I guess a “well if that just has no chance of happening then Miami” so if you want to call that a list then sure. I think someone like KD in this point in time is going to have 1 destination and he’s going to get there.

If it turns into a bidding war then for the first time in a long time we actually have assets between all the young guys, Duncan Terry and Anderson’s expirings, Wiggins is needed, and 3 1sts available for trade. I’m going to guess if it turns into a bidding war we’ll lose because we don’t want to give anything up (which was the case at the deadline, the case with Dame, the case with Mitchell, etc) not because we lack the assets

Sorry Jaime, you picked the worse time to get sick. He’ll be pushed out of the rotation going forward (if the goal is to win)

They telegraphed saying Jaime can learn from Anderson. Bench rotation tomorrow could be Jovic, Anderson, Robinson, HH, and Rozier.

Yep and we even get a glimpse of Duncan in the 2nd unit jersey.

Love it, this is how it should be. Throw 2 stud defenders into the starting lineup who can also knock down 3s. Mitchell plays his role as a 3 and D PG with some solid playmaking (my goal is 6 APG on low TOs if starting), have Ware using his size as a deterrent, as a lob threat, and knock down open 3s, while we rely on Herro Bam and Wiggins as our top 3 scoring options.

This is why the Heat don’t care about the draft. Davion Mitchell was the #9 pick like 4 years ago. Got him for a bag of chips.

Sometimes it’s about finding the right fit for your skillset. On paper, this should be a really good fit for Davion. Just needs to be able to knock down the 3 ball and bring the ball up under pressure. If he can be Gabe Vincent+ for us, he’s a steal.

I’m actually excited for the game tomorrow. Sadly I predict us going into the ASB on a 4 game losing streak (maybe beat Dallas since AD is out) but I’m still excited to see the new guys. The Bulls and Nets losses killed the vibe for me tbh.

Anderson is one of my least players to watch, his game is cringe worthy. But he is a ok player. highsmith use to have the worse haircut on the team. Anderson is the worse by far. Cut that sh*t off!!

Bam and Herro usually tend to play well against the Celtics (last game against them was not the case but this should be a bounce back night for them) and we have the Wiggins dynamic of owning them in the finals and playing well against Brown and Tatum. Mitchell also holds Brown to terrible shooting numbers. Could be a fun game especially on our homecourt, I’d love to be proven wrong about my prediction on these last few games

Beasley bust is probably the main reason

Winslow bust too but to a much lesser degree

As much as I'm trying, I can't get hyped about these new guys and this new rotation.

All 3 seem so meh, even the energy feels off.

No excitement in them, I guess we just kina got stuck with them due to the trade and they feel the same way it seems.

In term of skillset their just more role players for a team filled with role players, and If Spo makes me watch these dudes take minutes from Jovic/Ware/JJJ this season will get even more depressing.

All thing feels very random and meaningless, I think some of you will be shocked by the level of play you'll see from them, and not in a good way. You're expecting way too much from end of the rotation type players (Slow mo and Mitchell) and 1 solid starter role player.

Hoping I'd be proven wrong but man, I just can't excited/optimistic about this mish mash hodgepodge of a team.
