I'm calling it.
Rockets miss the playoffs.
Portland makes 7th seed ahead of Memphis.
Knocks of Lakers as 2nd seed in the first round.

What's the reason for this you Think? Is he taking too many mid range so Bron can attack the paint? Is he put into a position where he has to bail out his team late in the shot clock? Or is he just shooting the ball poorly?

I view the Lakers as a two man team and a bunch of Titos. Haven't watched enough to know any better. Would Davis look better surrounded by one of the best shooting and passing teams in the league? We could certainly use a guy who can produce outside of 3 PT shooting. Maybe it's a good match.

While some of these might be valid, they're not excuses I will accept for a supposed top 7 player that supposedly has the ability to lead a team to a chip. You hold Steph and Harden to the standard of being 2-way players but they've led their teams to the highest stages of basketball...

In 17-18 Pels had -2 net rtg with AD on the court and without Holiday, so there's nothing new. He's very bad passer by modern standarts and inefficient scorer in 1-on-1 situations.

Basically he needs at least average creator on the floor to not be negative

Romeo ain't been shooting much, but he ben doing his thugdizzsel on defense. Been pure buckets since high school, but still can take a backseat. Stolid. Up until the point where he leaves to make his own path. As much as I hate to admit it, C's will probably be good for him.

Dame is boxoffice. Adam Silver needs sit down with the refs. They need to make sure he makes the playoffs. They need to fix it so Houston gets 2nd seed and Potland 7th. I'd pay anything to see Dame vs Russ part II. I'd be funny after he ended OKC, he ends Houston

What Dame needs is to leave Portlandia. Guy will never get the superstar calls while playing there. He needs to come to Miami, there I said it.

top 7 player being this dependent on other players isn't my type of hype.

Scoring bigs are honestly a luxury in the league in 2020. You need a solid starting Forward, you need a solid starting guard, but not a high-usage big imo. Team like Clips would be beyond their yrs to drop everything and go looking for more post presence

I would rank it top 15 forward/ top 15 guard/ solid depth, then scoring big

Making it sound like those were good Pels teams? I mean, what have they done since he left? Have the Lakers improved from last year? Feel like we r getting a bit too stat heady here.

Also, for Mos and Bish, I know you fellas love your scoring guards. In a vacuum that's great. However, what does THIS team sorely lack? It ain't outside shooting, lol.

For all the intense focus on ADs offense, how is he on defense? Could we use a defender of his ilk, who can also get you a bucket once in a blue moon?

Making it sound like those were good Pels teams?

Last year's Minnesota weren't world beaters either, but they were +1.6 with Towns if you exclude both Butler and Covington.
OKC were +6.2 with George and without Westbrook. Just for comparison.

I mean, what have they done since he left

They are in playoff hunt, so nothing's changed since. They have a new team, tho. So it's kinda irrelevant anyways

Have the Lakers improved from last year?

Yes, because they paired a top 3-5 player with another star. If it was Beal instead of him, I don't think results would've been drastically different

He's good, but not a game changer. I personally think, Bam is already better than him.

BTW, I'm not saying that Miami doesn't need him.

Outside shooting is a parochial view of perimeter players, we're missing guys that can distribute, make a shot for themselves and get to the line at a high level. Jimmy can do that, but we only have one Jimmy- Our biggest problem. More than half of our key players can't play defense, second biggest problem. There's a great chance that we could enter the small field of contenders if we got an elite wing(s) that could help in those areas, versus a small chance that an inside presence would even move the needle for us. When was the last time a team led by a big was a contender?

So, if you pair him with quality player or team that team wins a lot more games? That'd be a game changer, right?

Glad to see you'd find a spot for him on the team. Bish straight up said he could go fly a kite. Teams don't need players like him. Flus got him delirious.

AD's a great player, but opportunity costs; teams are limited to two max slots, and in extraordinary circumstance 3, and I'd rather spend the first two on wings/guards then to pay more than what's needed for a quality big. Priorities>
