Fun facts :
- The Miami Heat surpassed the Knicks in championships
- Only the Lakers, Bulls, Celtics and Spurs have more championships

People really gave them sh for trying to win this season (and presumably next).

Happy to see them doing well. I liked the old Bibby/Peja/Webber/Divac Kings so I have a bit of fondness for them.

This has been a win so far, and who knows what breaks free in buyouts.

I offered Portland Iggie+Wilt for Dame let’s see what they say.

Lillard wishes he was worth Iggs and me :x

They declined.

I wanted to keep Okpala but it was a great move to trade him. I hope we are not too impulsive with the draft pick we've feed up for use. Best part of the deal is getting cap space to sign Caleb and freeing up another roster space. Let's get to work! :-)

I didnt quite understand the outrage on the Kings trade. Yes, giving up on Haliburton when he was starting to show out was odd - but Sabonis is legit. He’s a very good player, entering his prime. Kings were flush with PGs at any rate.

Could be a rare win win trade. Pacers needed a guard badly too.

I don't see anyone on the buyout market that I want to give playoff minutes to.

No one fits or has the ceiling as this guy

BTW we can send out : Duncan + Yurt + Morris + pick/s

And get Harrison Barnes
Or
Jeramy Grant

And stay just under the tax. The salaries match almost perfectly, we're only adding 400 or 600K in salary in both these deals.

Comparing H.Barns vs J.Grant last 3 seasons head to head.

Conclusions :

1) Barnes is more efficient and a better 3 point shooter.
2) He's 2 years older
3) Grant takes more shots, creates more, higher usage.
4) Both expire after next season.

Mentality wise, Grant looks like a dog that wants to battle. Barns gives me shrinkage vibes for some reason.

I can’t see it being Barnes, because the Kings just made a win now trade. They need HB to try make the playin.

That leaves Grant. If we’re going for win now upgrade, he’s probably the guy. PJW would cost less and be more easily integrated, given his role this season would be smaller than someone like Grant.

Those guys aren’t realistic unfortunately. We’re currently at 13 roster spots. Such a move will add salary and force us to sign 2 minimum players plus Caleb to fulfill the 14 spots we need, putting us over the luxury tax.

PJW is the most feasible.

It looks likely it’ll be a Thad Young pickup after buyout. (Not bad at all)

Only 7 hours till we get news of our next franchise changing talent. I suggest we all congregate here and spam that F5 button until then. I want non stop speculation guys.

I don’t think the Heat really do anything here. It won’t matter if Riley gets Spo a PF because Spo won’t play him.

Spos big man tendencies leave a lot to be desired. He really isn't a fan of putting a guy on the floor who isn't a stretch big. It's pretty nauseating tbh.

Don't worry though, once Yurt starts popping threes like he's Omer Curry then we will see him get more PT.

I can't say I'm extremely excited about the buyout market here. I don't see many 4's that are about to get bought out other then Thad Young. What guarantee do the Heat have he even wants to come here? For all we know he's heading back to Chicago.

Just need to do some cybernetic mods to Morris and we should be good there. If no mods available, how bout our favorite fishing spot, the G League?

Can’t sign with Chicago because he was traded, right?
