Jalen Brunson is a really nice player I love his efficiency. Does he put us over the top? Nah imo but it would be a good move no matter what.

Brunson averaged 32-5.5-5.5 in 3 games without Luka in the layoffs

I can’t say he wouldn’t put us over the top based on last playoffs. Imagine if we have him over Lowry. We were 1 shot away from the finals as it is

Not crazy about Brunson, but if it gets rid of Lowry . . .

No sir! We’re trying to win it all with Jimmy. He’s retiring here hopefully

Signing and trading for Brunson would hard cap us again. So would make any other moves more difficult.

Brunson isnt the guy to do this for.

Brunson for Lowry and a pick is fine as long as other moves planned…pj and oladipo are likely gone…we need an upgrade at pf using Duncan

Brunson is just another guy who would come cheaper than a Mitchell, Beal, etc. that solves the biggest issue we have, another bucket getter outside of Jimmy in a playoff setting. Now couple that with the effort to get Bam more involved offensively (both by himself and the coaching staff) and we really might be cooking

They're not gonna acquire 25 year old Jalen Brunson and pay him through the age of 29 at over 100 million over 4 years and then trade Butler. He'd be a younger healthier Lowry and Riley would use the rest of the offseason to retool around Brunson, Butler, Bam and Herro if he wasn't moved.

Any sign and trade hardcaps the team receiving the signed player. Its the reason we were hard-capped last season (Lowry sign and trade).

I really think there’s another level to Brunsons game. I think he was handicapped by Luka, for better or worse

Not really sure how the Heat are even linked to that Brunson rumor lol, makes zero sense for either party. Brunson wants a bigger role. Heat can't afford that either - and as much as I wouldn't hate getting off Lowry's deal I don't think it's worth shaking things up for Brunson like that.

Never paid attention to Brunson so I have no comments about his game. However like I been saying, the point guard spot is the Heat most important position to solidify.

However the position can be solved by Oladipo

4th or 5th seed imo

Its not about the seeding, its about being fresh for the playoffs. To get to that seeding we will be spending a lot of energy with our defensive scheme. Butler will most likely play some part time PF because of the construction of the team. Last season Butler and Lowry missed a ton of games which kept them fresh for the playoffs. if we go into the playoffs banged up, the odds don't look good for us to go far.
