Actually having draft picks and young players to groom

They need real assets to win games since they traded picks. Again it just makes so much more sense to bring it back for a year and then see how it plays out. Its in Kyrie best interest to show the world he is sane and worth a max contract. Its in Durant best interest to show the world he is elite and that will get more teams open to spend real assets for him. The Nets need to see what Ben bring to the team, if he's back to near normal on defense his value jumps up. Again sure it could all fail but factoring the upside vs what is currently being offered, it makes sense to bring the gang back another year. That sucks for us but from their perspective makes the most sense.

Of course it makes sense to bring back arguably the best player in the NBA. The thing is he demanded out. Let’s see what he does next.

I don’t think teams are unsure as to whether Durant is elite or not lol. He has nothing to prove. It’s a question of how much control he will exert.

And without Durant, BKN aren’t real contenders. Their focus shifts to being “fun”, marketable and attractive to future free agents while developing what young talent they can. Make money and rebuild

Mods, how about we lock this thread, forget it ever existed and let that poster who said they heralded the big 3 era on another site start Vol6? Do we really need to prolong this suffering?

Give it up on Irving. It would have happened already. Organization wants no part of him and it’s widely know he wants to be a Laker and live out his paying homage to Kobe fantasy.

Who's out there for PF potential trades? Collins? Damn coming up empty is going to be depressing.

Lowry and 1 FRP

Our owner and probably Riley himself would probably rather keep Lowry then deal with Irving.

Lowry does look in shape though

But…our real prize will be

It’s almost over bud. Few more pages left. Millsap Mania was a lot more wholesome. Will put this disaster volume 5 well in the past

Marcus Morris Sr, Myles Turner, and Harrison Barnes. I think ICC confirmed that Atlanta told us to kick rocks asking about Collins

Don't let go of the rope people... Lets see if anything comes of these supposed meetings with potential trade partners.

From what we know

1. Durant ( Still pushing )
2. Mitchell ( out of the running )
3. PF upgrade ( Back up plan, trades in the pipeline )
4. Depth at the Frontline ( Back up plan, trades in the pipeline )

I think anyone of those 4 would be a nice upgrade, especially Barnes. But damn without another scorer to go with it we'll still come up a bit short imo. Unless Herro takes another jump, and Bam goes Ham this year. I'm still pumped for what I think Oladipo will do too at least.

I’m about to hang it up on hope for any blockbuster trade occurring soon. Sometimes Heat management strikes out in an offseason. Like the year they went for Gordon Haywood or the year they went after Durant as a FA. Setbacks happen, but at least they have a plan to get to winning it all and stick to it. That’s better than 2/3’s of teams in the league.

Is Mitchell to the Knicks a blockbuster, if so you may have that soon!

I know it’s not really the Heat way…

But I want someone in the media in our corner to pump up our players. We only hear negatives in the media about Herro, and yet he is closer to an all star than a guy like RJ.

Lowry and Robinson (probably deserved on Robinson) also get talked down a ton.

We need a cheerleader like the Knicks and other teams have. Can’t let our assets be maligned like this!

Let me clarify, blockbuster for the Heat.
