Perhaps Duncan can get a 2nd offseason surgery and then go play for that other league.

4 PFs on the last year of cheap deals that are currently relegated to the bench because of crowded frontcourt depth. All would fit well with us and all are unlikely to be extended by their current team. I'm sure there are others.
NO wants to keep Nance and is working on an extension. Kleber is around 10-11 million and probably is available, Washington and Rui are in their last year of their rookie contract so they either they walk or get their contracts matched as a RFA.
Nothing set with a Nance Jr extension and he’s actually in a roster numbers crunch at the 4 with Williamson coming back. Pels have the young talented Troy Murphy they need to find minutes for at the 4. They also go 3 deep at Center with Valy, Hayes, and Hernangomez.
I don't see them being good adding a 17-18 million dollar single skilled 3pt shooter. I would have loved to have seen what kind of offer sheet Robinson would have been given on the open market, I doubt it would be as much as Miami gave him.

Duncan and a protected pick for Nance and Temple who are two players who are likely to leave via free agency might be worth a look for them. That team could use a specialist under contract. Not like NO is a free agent destination.

An 18 million dollar 3pt shooter when they have to already pay max or near max for Zion, Ingram and CJ? Miami made a horrible decision giving Robinson that type of money especially with a promising 3pt shooter in Strus already under contract who's younger and plays better defense. Miami would have been in a much better situation letting Robinson walk but I've been saying this for over a year now. This organization seems to overpay it's own players which is very odd, normally you're expecting market value or get a hometown discount, not overpay(unless you're not a desirable destination but Miami is a desirable destination).

It looks like the article was written last year and updated last month, they said NO was interested in Robinson when he was a FA, not since he's been signed/overpaid.
According to Adam Borai of 5ReasonsSports, the New Orleans Pelicans have registered interest in Miami Heat sharpshooter Duncan Robinson. The shooting guard is a free agent this offseason.
Here's the Locked On podcast for New Orleans from a day ago talking about the extensions. I'd expect they have more insight then we have about the team their following.

This seemed interesting to me. I'm not sure why.

Wade is about to drop off that list. Pretty clear influence of Pat's unrelenting "win now/no time to wait for young talent to develop" mindset.

Injuries will happen to all the teams and we proved with our depth we can still compete and land a #1 seed. If Lowry wasnt inured we would have played in the Finals.
KD is a shiny object on name. He isnt 28, he is 34 and injury prone. I figured nobody was beating Brooklyn with Kyrie, KD, and Harden and look how that worked out. They had to be part of the play-in just to get into the playoffs!
Move on, the Nets (and Jazz too) are crazy with their demands. Riley will tweak the roster at the trade deadline.
its the nets... they had no coach, no stability, no culture, no direction of any kind.. they basically just put together a nice roster on paper and thought that was enough to win titles... you need structure. its important... look at the heat big 3, even wade and bron bosh struggled at first, but miami had riley/spo and the heat culture to fix the issues and implement a winning "system".... like i said before, KD with the heat is a different result. your looking at multiple titles, jersey retirements, and a real great ending to a legendary career.

He’s a snek
The snek with the 5head move indeed, all this fake drama just to run it back in Brooklyn.

The players were going to coach themselves.
That was the first sign of trouble.

Spoke to my dude, apparently it made it back to the team that Durant is furious heading into the meeting with ownership. He spoke to a couple high level players that he is close with to get their opinion. So ownership called his Agent sometime this week to preface the meeting.
They wanted Durant's agent to talk to Durant and explain heading into this meeting to come with a clear head, and expectations of coming back and playing. This meeting will not be about moving him to any desired destination or to talk about available trades scenarios. They want him to understand there is nothing in the market or offer remotely enticing them to trade him, also they will do what is right for the team above his needs. This meeting is more in line about future commitments and how to put the best foot forward into having a successful year ahead for the team, which they feel they can do. They want to make sure that Durant knows exactly what he is walking into, and to lower any expectations of him thinking this relationship is over on his terms.
He doesn't know if the meeting has already happened, but probably not since nothing has hit social media yet. He could either head into this meeting completely deflated and just accept that he is returning to the team even if its not on his terms, or this could get real ugly.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Hey ICC here with the latest saucy nuggets yall!
1. Absolutely nothing happened during the latest meting between KD and Nets Joe. KD was heard mumbling with the tiniest voice "i want Miami" only to be met by chuckles, resounding "NOPE"s and occasional "Duncan Robinson" with chuckles.
2. Heat FO is stealthily shifting to commit Caleb at 4 but started calling LaMarcus Aldrige, Paul Millsap, and DeMarcus Cousins as well. So there is some hope there that Caleb won't die mid-szn. Heat brass is getting a lil annoyed that UD is taking his sweet time but that is neither here nor there.
3. ttyl but remember we only have 10 pages for this OP's blessing pls think of what you're posting before you actually posting. quality >>> quantity k? ttyl ICC out
