Just heard this on Jake Fischer's podcast. He also mentions Murry would like to the Nets but the Nets aren't looking to acquire him at this time.

The thought for Miami is that they may wait for Mitchell but maybe Cleveland won't want draft assets and if Miami acquires Murray, he could be flipped in the summer or next season in a Mitchell trade.

No, Butler liked and still likes Wiggins, has a good relationship with him, his issues were almost only about Towns but the media created the Butler and Thibs vs the young guys narrative, the only problem I know of Butler having with Wiggins was that if he put in even more effort he could be great, now Wiggins' brother didn't like Butler and had a post about Butler when he left for whatever reason, maybe because he took the spotlight off Andrew?

Here's Butler's quote about Wiggins that people thought it ment he didn't like Wiggins... this is about who is the most talented player when Butler was in Minnesota, may have made Towns a little bit angry.
“Who, me? Hell no, Wigs is. Wigs is the most talented by far. I see him do things and I'm like wow, like how? The crazy part is that was at 40 percent. Just think if you're 80 percent or what if you just go as hard as you can, 100? Wigs is easily the most talented person on this team.

Ok, so I was wrong on the Butler not liking Wiggs. But even in the quote. For that reason there I would not trade for the dude. Yes, he is talented but his entire career is summed up in that quote. We need high-motor guys, and I simply cannot trust Wiggins to be what he hasn't most of his career. Not to mention if whatever is going on in his personal life is affecting him ( And I'm not trying to trash him for that. Somethings are bigger than basketball no matter how much money is attached to it), we cannot trade our undervalued guys, for him.

I don't know if I would do it since I watched him nearly every game for 2 years in Minnesota and just like Butler says... he's got talent, he just didn't have the focus/drive to be as good as he can be. Before even considering trying to trade for Wiggins. I'd have Butler and/or others reach out to him and some of his teammates to try to figure out what the issue is and if it's correctable or just a slump. I'd also be reviewing a lot of his play this year to see if the old Minnesota Wiggins is back.

What about Klay Thompson? $43m expiring, could a Lowry and Robinson trade be of interest? Not sure what Klay would command but perhaps Iggy has been in his ear about a little culture.

It’s nice to dream right lol. No way the Cavs deal him this year and he’ll also have a hard time turning down a super max if offered.

Even if Klay were to find his form and outdo what Duncan has done this year, which seems less and less likely, the void created at the PG position which already is pretty dire becomes a full fledged black hole.

Right, he can demand ANYWHERE in the league unless it’s Miami, then theyll have an issue and do everything in their power to veto it

We should probably adjust our expectation from Herro.

He isn't making max money, and it doesn't look like he'll become a max talent ever. He's not in that Mitchell, Maxy, Bane, or even Beal tier as a player.

He's a good but limited scorer, he's improving on defense (very important), and hopefully improvingh with his playmaking. He can be a good starter on a wining team, but HE'S NOT AND SHOULD BE COUNTED ON AS THE FIRST OR SECOND OPTION. he's a not on that level.

So we can try to upgrade him to someone else, or build a team with enough scoring and playmaking around him that allows him to play the role he's capable of - a good scorer, great shooter, decent defender, and decent playmaker. Not a leading man on a contender. But a complementary piece to 2 better players.

Again, he's not on that max money tier and we shouldn't expect him to produce like one.

I hope Spo continues to play Jovic in the starting lineup and keep Herro as PG.

Herro / Martin / Butler / Jovic / Bam is a very good starting unit

And you have a solid bench also with Lowry / Richardson / Robinson / Jaquez / Highsmith and Love

A lot of options.

I like Dejounte Murray here a lot. I think he fits very well with the team but i just dont see how salaries work.

Robinson / Caleb + picks for Murray and Mills ? Is that enough? I doubt. Even tho it makes a lot of sense for Atlanta, i think they can get more somewhere else. Both Robinson and Caleb are solid options for them.
