Sorry MWP, Utah championship run soon

If they can’t keep their promise then it’s in the best interest they trade him. He’s going to be 28 and that team isn’t anywhere close.

Markkanen was ineligible to be traded this season due to the date of his contract extension, but he becomes trade eligible again in the offseason. Markkanen turns 28 in May and is signed through 28-29 with no options for either player or team.

If Herros gone I’ll reluctantly entertain it but you can’t have $80M in offense only players, $50M on Lauri who has majority of his baskets (by a lot ) scored off an assist when we don’t have even an above average playmaker at the guard position.

If it makes you happy i’ve done Herro trade variations that bring back Sexton and Clarkson with Markkanen.

81.4% of Lauri’s baskets are assisted on, 84.1% last year, that is INSANE. $50M for a score only player that cannot create his own offense consistently, year nevermind I don’t think I’d even reluctantly do this unless we had someone like Ant at guard and a veteran 3 and D PG with above average playmaking

Everyone is thirsty for Flagg. He looks like a top notch ceiling raiser.

With the way roster creation is regulated, its maybe an easier out to just say **** it and play the lottery.

If we’re Trading Herro it needs to be for an established all star imo. Preferably a guy who plays both sides of the ball and is a better offensive player than Herro but you can’t also swap him out with an offense only player like Trae considering he’s much better on that end overall than Tyler.

Sexton and Clarkson also both expiring and can play out the year to see if they are worth resigning. Best case you resign Sexton and Clarkson comes off the books. This could be an interesting scenario if we draft Edgecombe to take over for Herro’s two guard spot.

That’s what majority of the fanbase wants at this point. We want the best pick possible, the most assets possible, and pressure on the FO to get something big done so we don’t give away great picks to OKC and Charlotte.

The Heat don’t want that but as long as Spo keeps running his same schematics and having Bam and now even Herro (besides last game) playing complimentary roles to lesser players like Wiggins, Terry, and Duncan we’re not going to win games. Your best players win you games, your best players need to be in a good rhythm to win you games, it’s hard to do be in a good rhythm when you’re asked to defer to others all game.

I would deal Herro if it meant Markkanen and Sexton coming back and we draft Edgecombe or one of the other flashy scoring guards to pair with Sexton.

Can’t lie a big reason why I want a stacked roster (outside of competing for championships yearly obviously) is so we can finish the season with HCA at least in round 1 and our players (not just Bam) can get the recognition they deserve and have been slighted for in the past. It will be a travesty that the best defender of the last 6 years will not have 1 DPOY to show for it while also being the only player in the league to make all defense every year over that span

Is the final piece a disgruntled Ant when he asks out in a year or 2?

Im glad Butler got fed up and wanted out. Probably had a lot to do with Spo and his game mgmt. Im glad Spo is stilling pulling pranks on himself every game. We need that top dog. Hope we luck in to one.

We’ve always been a defense first team, Spo decided he wanted to lean more into offense this season and his answer was to run new schematics that made our 2 best players in Jimmy and Bam fall in line. I believe his words were “they’re going to have to figure it out themselves” which led to a bad start to the season for Bam and Jimmy not being happy with his role. Factor in that our offense is actually worse than prior seasons and it was literally just all for nothing lol.

It’s disheartening thinking about how everyone couldn’t get on the same page because if they would have I’m very confident KD comes here this summer to join Spo Jimmy and Bam and potentially Tyler if he isn’t moved to get someone else for an all in type of move. I think that would’ve led to a very fun 3-4 year stretch and obviously as a Heat fan I’m biased but based on what we were able to do without KD I don’t see anyone messing with us with KD added.

Top 3 pick would alleviate many concerns

I know Dragic has previously mentioned wanting to eventually join the FO, I think with his temperament and IQ he could also make for a great coach..either way hope to see a lot more of him soon, one of my all-time favorite HEAT players

Return to Miami Heat
