Wade isn't coming here if he's bought out.
He will go banana boat LeBron's crotch in Miami...

Bigs: Hassan 23M, Olynyk 13M, Bam 2.5M, UD 4M ? = 42M ie 42% of our cap
Guards: Goran 19M,TJ 20M, Dion 13M, JRich 1.5, Ellington 6M, McGruder 1.3 = 60.8M ie 60% of our cap
Wings: JJ 13M ?, Winslow 2.7, Okaro 1.3 = 17M ie 17% of our cap
We got to be are cutting Hammond right ??
Mcgruder and Jrich can both play SF. White I'm not so sure about? SF is still a concern if Winslow has a bad year, but backup PG is a bigger concern. Maybe we'll see more of JJ at point forward? He was decent at times, but others he made some bad plays.
Back up pg is def still a concern, Dragic goes down and we are shiat
McGruder at 6-5 and JRich at 6-6 cannot guard the top SFs of this league all strong, athletic and over 6-8
Winslow cannot stay on the floor thabks to the TonyAllen-esk shooting

I'm really at a lost for words right now. I don't know what's happening anymore. I thought the plan was to keep cap flexibility.

The fact that you and your avatar are not currently in the McRoberts farewell thread is unacceptable. Hurry get in there, look around say nice things, its getting dark inside with all the hate carved on the walls.

i dont know why you guys are so excited from the same squad that outed itself from the 8th after a long run in the sec half of the season
Because we went 30-11 the 2nd half of the season, finished with the 5th ranked defense and had the 10th best net rating, and we're better than half the teams who made the playoffs in our conference. Plus, we got better this off season while the conference got much weaker.
What else could this team realistically done besides sign Hayward? Literally nothing lol.
Plus this team is fun as hell. Who cares if we won't win a title or make it to the finals. I just want a good, fun team for now.

puppa bear wrote:Okay, so I'm gonna trust gom to clean up my maths (if needed), but I've got an increasing contract to be around $11.6m starting salary.
We had around $17m in space before this signing, so the options are we release Ellington to clear another $6m & have enough to give JJ a similar contract to Dion, or JJ has a $6m starting salary on a 1+1 (much less likely).
Hopefully they have an agreement with Ellington to resign him for the room exception, at more years.
PuppaBear, your math is pretty good:
$11,627,907
$12,209,302
$12,790,697
$13,372,094 (po)
I'm still working out the effects after dumping McRoberts, but it looks like we'll have money to sign JJ and maybe even keep Ellington. McRoberts is a better passer in the frontcourt, but he's always broken, so Olynyk is an upgrade in that respect. Not sure how it will work out with Whiteside and Olynyk together, but that happened when Whiteside was a lot more immature. Likely Olynyk had orders to harass him. Just doing his job...
