Run N* run. They should play use the lime light to keep the Police brutality issue on air. More harmful if they mess with money

If not, congrats. lol :tooth

The TNT panel was probably wishing him congratulations KD on his wedding

I don't understand? Is this a forfeit? Are they going to forfeit the game after that as well? Surely they do not believe that sitting out 1 game will bring an end to systemic violence against black people? Maybe the NBA postpones the game a day or 2? Does that mean that sitting out the game was pointless because its just a postponement? I legitimately do not understand.

I don't think this will change anything, but I can understand that the teams/players want to send a message. I'm expecting a couple days postponement, then they will resume. I could also see some players who are really passionate about the issue leaving the bubble but idk. The worst case they'll all walk from the playoffs coz it's frankly shambles

In the meantime Jimmy has a bum shoulder..

It won't count as forfeiture. I think more games will be boycotted. I think Adam Silver might proactively suspend the games till next week to save face.
The bigger question is whether the playoffs will resume. Whatever happens I hope the playoffs think it through. The problem with Kyrie is that he doesn't. If they go home, they have to anticipate the owners will rip up the CBA. They would loose more money and the owners will try to force a hard cap. Whether that's worth the boycott that is up to them. A couple of days to let players go through their emotions wouldn't be a bad thing and hopefully the games resume

At this point, they made their bed. They only sit out 1 game, then they would look like they aren't committed to the cause and are just doing it for show. The NBA postpones the game and they look weak and it sends a message that players can just sit out games whenever they want for the next cause. The NBA can take this as a forfeiture...but what happens when 2 teams sit out? This whole thing is a fu**ing mess. Just shut down the bubble, send everybody home, and to hell with it.

Go to ESPN, and it's got a video with the headline "Perkins says Bucks sending a message with boycott". F me. Really? Is that what they're trying to do? I just thought it was National Boycott Day. Stupid ESPN.

NBA gave them an out by cancelling games. I think the games will resume.
Cancelling the games is in no one best interest especially the players. The league would like to have fans next season but realistically that probably won't be possible for the 1st couple months. So you are looking at major losses next season for everyone so the league needs to get out what it can out of this to make up for it.

You hate to bring business into this, but players need to be strategic. I hope CP3 & Lebron and some of their senior ones, try emphasize this. Going home would be disastrous for the players and the future players. And hopefully games resume next week.

Celtics and Raptors are boycotting as well. Which means Miami Heat is the 2020 NBA Champions by default OP Idalo.

Welp, playoffs were nice while they lasted. At least we got to shame the Pacers.

The Magic didn't boycott, they showed up on court. So it's only fair the finals should be Magic vs Heat. Tough opponent but I like our chances

I've not been reading. Is it a one game boycott, or the playoffs?

This is all politics...nothing more.

Now the NBA took the power by saying "well, the teams can't sit out games if we post pone all games today". The NBA save's face. One of two things will happen with the top players: 1) they will try to spin it like "we applaud the NBA's decision to cancel all games in the name of justice"...even though we all know the NBA is essentially doing damage control or 2) The players will up the ante and sit out the rest of the season to take the power back from the NBA. What happens if not all teams want to sit it out?

I'll be 33 next month. I've been watching basketball since Zo came aboard. I've loved the Heat ever since then. It would break my heart to see the Heat follow and sit out games too. Over the last few years, the NBA and some of the players has been more of an annoyance than an entertaining joy to watch. If this ends the way I think it will...i'm done for a while.
