Perhaps Andy is just talking to Marks about unretiring and filling our PF void

This has been one of the most annoying free agencies I've ever seen. Not even The Decision held up free agency like this.

This is speculation, Brooklyn will play hardball to get more assets. Unless it hits the media that they reject an offer set around Tyler Herro its just speak.
It may be speculation, but it may be real, there seems to be a lot of different thoughts on Herro from different GMs that were asked in Summer League recently. If Brooklyn happens to be one of those teams that doesn't value Herro like some other teams do, you don't just keep banging your head on the wall, you bring more teams into the fold who value Herro more and move Herro elsewhere to get good assets to reroute assets to Brooklyn. At this point I'd think it's more about Brooklyn and Miami working together to try to find an acceptable trade package with a 3rd and possibly 4th team in the mix.

I honestly still can't see Miami sending out Bam for Durant. I'm taking an I'll believe it when I see it approach there. I'm willing to bet that Unless Giannis, Jokic, or Embid become available, then Bam is untouchable to Pat. I said those 3 because of position, I don't think Pat would trade Bam for anything but a big, maybe except Luka.
Also, Durant simply wouldn't want to play for Heat team without Bam.

Lets say they did value him as a mid tier scorer, if we go on a A-F grading perhaps a B. Would they really say they did or would they down play it so that Miami can load up on the offer a bit more. I mean I know the teams that don't have a horse in this race could speak truthfully and say they do not value him, but would the team receiving him say otherwise to get less in return, doubtful. However if Brooklyn does not value Herro, they could go out and say it, and tell Miami to go find a third/fourth to make it work. If all is silent than things are getting worked out behind the scenes as they should.

Like I said previously, the problem is that HErro doesn't have to just lift his own trade value, he also has to carry the weight of RObinson and whatever other long contract you're tacking on from our side. Having a Westbrook like expiring would be beneficial to us.

Re: Offseason Thread VOL 4- MILLSAP MANIA
Playing the value game is going to get the Nets no where. There's really no way to measure the Value of a player like Durant so I get having to set the bar at all star level player but theres only 24 allstars every year and out of the 4-8 fringe allstars, chances are their teams aren't in the market or in a situation where a KD trade makes sense for them. So the market for KD is really small so the nets are trying to leverage as much as they can to maximize their return but I'd be surprised if they walked out of this with a major haul.

most definitely a take. at this point it’s clear no1 knows exactly what the core of potential trade looks like except for the men sitting at that table for close to 2 hours. i also wish people would stop underestimating Jimmys relationships with stars just because hes not as outspoken and friendly after games as Bam. Jimmy is the guy that was putting up 40 point games in the playoffs and single handedly carrying the team in the biggest moments. i think stars would like to play with a guy like that over a buddy who is still figuring out when/how to show up.
I do hope there is a way to keep Bam in a KD trade btw, but Jimmy isnt getting enough credit here IMO.
