Are we not going through a similar situation? Two finals appearances last five years and now facing the abyss.

We're not even close. Suns outlook is the worst in the league. This team is WAY better than the team we added Jimmy to in terms of an actual rebuild. We have most of our assets, have 2nd and 3rd option and clearly need a point guard. As DWade said someone is definitely going to take the 300m and live in Miami.

If we trade for Fox and sign a first round pick, what space do we have left for 26 offseason?

But, it looks like the 2025 pick is top 14 protected and the 2026 is unprotected. So basically...

2025 pick: If Heat miss playoffs and in lottery, Heat get the pick. If Heat make playoffs then OKC gets the pick.
2026: If Heat get their 2025 1st round pick the 2026 pick goes to Thunder regardless of if it is in the lottery or not. If Heat's 2025 1st round pick goes to Thunder then Heat will keep their pick regardless of whether lottery or not.

Is this correct?

If we make playoffs pick goes to OKC. If we don’t pick converts to OKC unprotected 2026 then forwards hornets 2027 to 2028 unprotected.

So, worst case scenario is Heat being in the lottery this year and keeping the pick. Then next season being one of the worst teams in league and having a top 3 pick going to OKC.

Best case is Heat make playoffs this year. Pick goes to OKC. And Heat keep their 2026 pick regardless of making lottery or playoffs.

Getting Ware at 15 was so solid.

We draft well.

Has anyone spoken to Bradley Beal to see if he's OK with going anywhere?

Weve been teetering on the mid line of the first round for a decade. I doubt we need worry much about giving up a top 3 pick.

We are going to win 40ish games a year with this squad. If we nail another draft pick and add a star, we righted the ship and could win 50 plus for plenty of years.

The Suns owner grew up near Detroit. I’m sure he knows some people who would very happily stick Brad Beal in the trunk of a ‘69 Lincoln Continental and drive him where the Suns need him to go.

Bucks are stuck in the snow, they’re probably not going to do anything today and then be stuck there with the players they trade

MLE and Bi-Annual.

There's 6m in space with 1 max FA but if we add that pick that's gone.

But if you get Fox during this next summer it's probably better for locking up Niko sooner rather than later. He's gonna get a good offer.

Doncic and SGA both free agents in 26? Wow.

I would kill for SGA, but hes a Thunder for life.

Yea that's kinda holding true with the thoughts pre-draft--no real top tier. Lots of potential role players/decent players sprinkled thru.

Ware always had one of the highest upsides. He's just showing his floor and baseline was underestimated.

I'd say best case might even be Miami missing the playoffs this year; Miami drafting in the lotto in a strong 2025 draft; then Miami being a better team in 2026 and conveying a non-lotto pick to OKC next season. There's just risk of conveying a lotto pick to OKC in 2026 if things go awry.

Get that lotto pick this year and continue to pad the roster.

Maluach, Fears, Newell, etc., all add depth we need.

If we get super lucky and jump from say 11 to 4, then we are really looking like a team on the rise. Rocket powered rise.

Doncic is the guy if you can get him but I doubt he leaves Dallas. The fit would be glorious and we'd be full on back to the villains of the NBA.
