I genuinely believe that at the beginning of the season, even after striking out on KD and Mitchell, if we had gotten that glue type of guy you’re talking about, or better yet simply upgraded the front court spot next to Bam, we would have been right back in there in terms of contending. And you see a different more committed attitude amongst our players. But you’re correct, Jimmy has been checked out since the beginning of the season, Herro and Bam arent as willing to gut out small injuries and are taking every opportunity that presents itself to miss games.

People think that players can’t tell when the front office is not invested in them and their success. You sent a clear message to your team that you are not interested in giving them the tools they need to compete when you field a team full of g leaguers for how many consecutive years now? Even after a finals trip and a being within a shot of another? You have an all star, two borderline blossoming young players, and you’re doing absolutely nothing to invest in them. Just trying to scrimp and save money and bide time till you get someone who you will get behind (a KD type). Only so long you’re going to be able to get guys to play hard when you make it clear you don’t give a **** about their efforts.
