It would take Herro and Duncan to get him, Duncan as a starter has been better than him this season. It’s a no for me.

That said. That’s like $48M off the books this summer

I like Highsmith, but he is a 6-8 man in the rotation. He is not a starter and not a guy who should be playing any significant time at the 4. He's in the wrong role due to lack of bigs on the roster. He has started 24 games this year! He should be coming off the bench or even starting next to Rozier and Butler with the role of guarding the best wing on the other team.... not fighting in the paint. He is a fighter, but you just can't overcome the size disadvantage.

In terms of helping us win this year at the starting 2:

Current Duncan >>> Strus >>> Herro

Sorry NOT sorry!!!

I wonder if Herro is still actually hurt or something? He looks like he maybe lost a step or something. I am not sure whether if teams has hm figured out or he's gassed or he's still dealing with a lingering injury. I looked at his injury history for this season and his ankle and shoulder were injured and he had hand surgery previously but he came out strong in the beginning of the season which goes back to the point that he's maybe still dealing with a lingering injury or team has him figured. Bam doesn't perform the same as he was at the start of the season and now so thus lead me to the question as to whether Herro is still technically hurt and he's playing through it?

Interesting take but doesn't Klay Thompson plays better defense than Duncan?

What you’re seeing from Herro is what he’s always been

Every year we’re always 1 year away, Heat culture baby!!!!!

For what exactly? Nets and Knicks can beat any offer the Heat has for Mitchell if that's who they are aiming for. I feel like this summer is going to be another big swing and a miss. I would love to have Mitchell on this team by the way.

The Godfather ALWAYS get his whale!!!

We are getting Lowry back
He is a whale of player, physically not on the court skill wise but physically he's a big boy

I really hope this is a prelude to going back with Jovic at the starting 4 and just dealing with the growing pains. Lord knows the pains of having to start Haywood Highsmith has been brutal enough.

Pls just bring Niko back. If nothing else it gives me hope.

I agree. If this team has any leadership, then Niko needs to hear it. Hey, you want to be our PF, you need to continue to develop your defense. We understand you can shoot and pass, but The Miami Heat, plays tough defense.

I miss UD.

really? I have to watch some warriors games to see if Klay Thompson is that bad as you stated. Using stats is hard to gauge how useful Klay could be here.

I’ve always loved Klay, so I’d be tempted even though I know he’s been pretty washed this season. I saw recently that physically he feels good but mentally struggling with his new role in the team. Perhaps a change of scenery could help.

Looks like it will take Herro and Duncan to make it happen. is that the trade you would do?

Fair to say Kuminga ain’t going nowhere anymore. Otherwise I’d do it in a heartbeat.

If we do not see Jovic again, it is obvious the Heat started him to showcase him

1. During Jimmy's run. We have never gone full-in, shlong on the table to acquire anybody
2. In Jimmy's tenure we probably have been the number 1 team in the NBA in terms of G-League and and undrafted players
3. We've always skipped over immediate upgrades in the name of saving up for a guy who may or may not be available in 2 years
4. Outside of the year Duncan went wild from 3, we've never been a good offensive team (Flowing offense, everything is always a grind)
5. Jimmy's greatness, Bam's defense, and 1 shot of luck have carried us to the Finals twice in that time, masking the deficiencies
6. Everyone that gets traded over here forgets how to shoot the damn ball.
7. Be it Riley is washed or his hands tied by Mickey, the FO is starting to get to the point where they feed us BS about wanting to win, while their actions do not reflect wanting to win.
8. Spo is the Rainman of Defense, but the Bobby Boucher of Offense

I'd do that if Klay was expiring and you guys attach a first. At this point, to me, Klay is a negative.

Phuck it, let's mega trade:

Heat trade:
Tyler Herro
Duncan Robinson
Caleb Martin
Nikola Jovic
Dru Smith
Thomas Bryant

Heat receive:
Klay Thompson
PJ Washington
Kevon Looney

Warriors trade:
Klay Thompson
Moses Moody
Kevon Looney
Dario Saric

Warriors receive:
Tyler Herro
Duncan Robinson
Miles Bridges
Thomas Bryant

Charlotte trade:
PJ Washington
Miles Bridges

Charlotte receive:
Caleb Martin
Moses Moody
Nikola Jovic
Dario Saric
Dru Smith

Heat:

PG - T. Rozier / C. Joseph / R. Hampton
SG - K.Thompson / J.Richardson / C.Swider
SF - J.Butler / J.Jaquez / J.Cain
PF - P.Washington / K.Love / H.Highsmith
C - B.Adebayo / K.Looney / O.Robinson

Probably better balanced, adds a bit more size and gives us a shot at it this year while clearing up roles and responsibilities.

Warriors:

PG - S.Curry / C.Paul
SG - T.Herro / B.Podziemski
SF - A.Wiggins / D. Robinson
PF - J.Kuminga / M.Bridges
C - D.Green / T.Jackson-Davis

Refreshes the lineup and starts the build around Curry and Kuminga, while retaining shooters in Duncan and Tyler. Bridges either gets signed to a team friendly deal or walks.

Charlotte:

PG - L.Ball / I.Smith
SG - M.Moody / N.Smith Jr
SF - B.Miller / C.Martin
PF - N.Jovic / D.Saric
C - M.Williams / N.Richards

They also then have guys like Lowry and Hayward that they can deal or buyout to shed further salary or acquire more picks.

Rest of their lineup is kinda irrelevant as it's full of fillers, end of bench guys, and dudes that tank. But it has some solid young players there that can help them rebuild.

He wanted that bread, and his playing time and or lack thereof is proof of how valuable his contract is a team in contention. I get it you always go get your money first, but we did something special, and you left anyway. You were gonna make almost as much Give or take a Mil from the No State Tax. Its water behind the bridge now, but just cause you chose to go get your bread, we chose to not come bring you back....Life's a biatch sometimes, one moment your winning and then poof, its one giant finger in your behind. Get comfortable you made your finger, sit in it on it and wiggle your extra couple million while you enjoy it.

Agreed. Eff him. Too damn old to really make a difference here anyways.
