Nah man. Raps played small ball & it took Ware’s effectiveness out. Just a match up thing. Young fella will start. He’s unlocked Bam & it works.

The spacing is clunky with Wiggins. I love Ware but for the good of the starting unit I think Jovic brings more spacing. It allowed Wiggins more comfort to operate down low without another big down there.

Ware has had a very tough time adjusting to being gameplanned for, we’ll see what happens going forward. I’ve been nervous for several games that he’s going to be moved back to the bench, he’s just not performing and has seemed to have a low motor recently.

His ROY campaign week was a fun week though

Spo found a good combination tonight. I’m still skeptical of Wiggins and Mitchell’s fit with Ware and Bam starting unit. We can be spared the Rozier minutes if Spo goes with Robinson and Herro to start with the bigs at very least then go with Mitchell and Jovic to close. Those 16 minutes Rozier got tonight could go to someone else. He’s getting primary backup PG minutes. Won’t have to worry about that with Mitchell coming in off the bench if the goal is to continue with Ware/Bam

Should maybe give those to Highsmith for some defense off the bench from a low usage catch and shoot/slash guy. Terry plays no defense and always overdoes it with his shots/handling. Get a low usage 3 and D guy in there and put the ball in your best players hands.

Ideally when rolling out two bigs like Ware and Bam is the other 3 guys on the floor are pure floor spacers. I think it takes away from Wiggins relegating him to essentially spot up guy and Ware has not proven to be consistent enough spacing the floor that clogs Wiggins effective post and slash game. Spo has to continue to tinker some.

I was definitely thinking about this during certain stretches of the game. Spo should be benching Rozier completely but by starting Mitchell he views Rozier as his only capable backup guard ball handler. That’s why maybe going with Herro and Duncan starting with the bigs on the floor makes more sense. Then you can bring in Mitchell and Highsmith two elite defenders with Ware, Jovic, and Herro. Can also continue to work Burks into the mix.

C Ware C Anderson
PF Bam PF Jovic
SF Wiggins SF Highsmith or JJJ
SG Robinson SG Burks
PG Herro PG Mitchell PG Rozier

This would be the ideal anti Rozier depth chart

You guys always overreact to wins & losses. Ware will start vs Bucks nxt gm. Anderson may well play horribly & you go back to liking Ware in starting 5. It was a small ball issue this gm & Spo made the right adjustment sitting Ware. Ware isn’t suddenly going to come off the bench because of 1 gm.

It’s not an overreaction. It’s seeing how the new pieces work. Sure Ware probably continues to start but Jovic provides more spacing for Wiggins to operate.

We really wanna go back to starting Bam @centre?
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Took OT to cover that bet. Just as well Bam missed that gm winner as that wld’ve just been a 2pt win. Bam then cooked in OT to help cover the spread. Thanks Bam

Spo has to find more consistent spacing for that starting unit. I don’t see him closing much with Ware and Bam while trying to maximize Wiggins

Sounds like Spo has found a rotation he likes tonight, maybe in the 2nd half.

Herro clearly has the best lob connection with Ware. Mitchell was having a hard time with Ware tonight. Would really like to see what Slo Mo can do with Ware. Anderson had great success with the Wolves working off there lob bigs. Anderson also developing something with Duncan.

Wigs will be fine. He’s tougher mentally. He’ll figure things out. It’s Bam i’d rather help to continue to build confidence for, considering his weak mentality on O. Bam obviously playing vry comfortable nxt to Ware. Why wld you take this away….we gotta continue this process unless you think suddenly Bam will play the same starting @ the 5 again. I’d rather Bam score his 16ppg & Wiggins adding around the same, than Bam scoring 5-10ppg.

I don't think it's ever going to be fully unlocked, but I'll take every other game for now hah. Fully unlocked, he'd be one of the best players in the league. Glad to see him starting to get more comfortable. Two-Way Wiggs is such a force when he has it going.

That’s the annoying part. We’ve seen flashes for a decade, but it never lasts long. It’s just one of those “What If?” Scenarios.

D Wade with two good knees.
Beasley with proper mental health support.
Wiggins with a psychotic obsession with basketball.

This is what I said back on Feb 7, after the trade went down:

The main reason he catches a bad rap is because he was the #1 pick and had (still has) all the talent in the world. He doesn't quite have that psychotic drive/motor to fully maximize his talents but that doesn't mean he's soft, mentally weak, or other such terms I've seen thrown around. Dude was totally unfazed by the NBA Finals spotlight and rose to the occasion on both ends of the floor.

There will be nights where he's going to be the best player on the court and look like a superstar, which is also going to drive people crazy when they wonder why he can't be that guy every night. Just make sure you have the right expectations - as long as you realize there will be more good than bad, and that overall he will be a net positive, then you'll enjoy the Two-Way Wiggs experience. If you expect Maple Jordan every game, you're going to be super frustrated lol.

Bam was having issues playing with Highsmith. Logically the stretch 4 in Jovic who’s 6’10 could also be viewed as the perfect fit next to Bam. Keep in mind Bam’s success at the 4 the previous go around coincided with stretch Centers in Leonard and Olynyk. Right now Ware hasn’t shown he can create any offense for himself or stretch the floor consistently. Solely relegated to lob threat. Right now the starting lineup has only one true consistent 3 point threat in Herro. I don’t trust Mitchell’s shot at all.

Tyler looked extremely focused & confident. As fantastic as his shots were it was his defence that impressed me. Stayed in front of his player. that block after hurting his arm was tough! Love seeing him continue to show growth. I see more elevation in his game in-coming.

Just finished watching the game very good game by Herro, Wiggins and Bam in the 4th and OT. That is what I want to see more throughout the entire game. Only complaint is Bam needs to not hesitate taking that corner three. If Bam hit that game winner corner three it will be heard around the league and teams would take him seriously as a threat from 3.

However you see the chemistry developing.

As for Ware, the adjustments teams have made to him should been expected by the coaching staff. Teams are putting a hip on him to make it difficult for him to jump for an alley. Ware has to make Refs call that a foul but that will come with experience hopefully

I did not see much improvement. At least we won.

Over/Under Results
Herro 8 assists - Under
Bam 2 3pointers - Under
Wiggins 2 dunks - Not sure I fell asleep :)
Ware 11 points - Under
Mitchell 2 steals 2 3 pointers - Under
Larsson 5 minutes playing time - Under
Jjj 9 minutes playing time - Under
Rozier 5 assists - Under
Jovic 12 points - Under
Heat 108 points total - Over
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

When it comes to spo, I worry about everything... I think he is a good to great coach...
But not an exceptional coach Like most people think

For example, I don't give spo Almost none of the praise for developing bam or herro... I even think bam could have been a lot better and he was Sidelined by playing center all the time...

I have hopes that spo has changed his ways and will keep on playing ware and mitchell As starters.
Unless we get A true superstar and spo has to change everything around

Return to Miami Heat
