Also it's not like the HEAT have Steve Balmer as team owner....Arison's cheap.

Riles needs to step down. Either Spo or Zo needs to take Riles' position. Haslem needs to be in the front office in some role.

We have to make the team an attractive destination for good players. The city of Miami is, but the team isn't anymore. Riley might know basketball, but he can't relate to this generation. He's not looked upon as a likeable figure anymore after the LeBron and Jimmy fiascos.

When Riley steps down we should hire Presti.

Humiliation is what we saw. At first I tried to shrug it off and say it's expected but no, that was historically bad. And now Herro is exposed once again so his trade value takes a little hit again.

I'm going back to 2020 and start talking about Kendrick Nunn again. He's the current eurolegue MVP and has become the best player in the euroleague. Trade Herro, sign Nunn.

Second to Nunn!

Wheres he lining up? Point or SG?

tick toc:
“There's going to be a lot of changes this summer,” Adebayo said. “Just from my point of view, understanding how the guy with the silver hair works. Just be prepared for that.

“We definitely didn't expect this,” Heat guard Tyler Herro said. “Tough last two games for us. ... No excuses for it. It's embarrassing. Definitely humbling. There's a lot of work to be put in.”

Andy Ellisburg is the team GM. Wanting Spo to take his place is a lazy take that sounds like “Boston did it so we should too”. Brad Stevens made his bones on the college circuit, his eye for talent is different than Spo’s. Spo pounded the table for Duncan and you want him to be the GM man hell no

SG. Won the Euroleague MVP in his first full season there. Considered the best active player overseas. He's originally a HEAT homegrown but I will never forget Spo and his mysterious DNP's for Nunn. Never backed him.

I am convinced Nunn just needs a team to actually back him. Spo did him dirty, and then he went to LAL and got injured, during the Lebron circus, and the NBA gave up on him.

Time to bring him back.

Yup, Stevens worked years identifying n recruiting players for the no-name small college while Spo spent yrs cutting tapes for coaches. People just want change for the sake of change when not happy naturally. Just so reactionary

All is not lost as some would have you believe

Miami is moving into a very flexible and strong position for probably the first time since the Big 3 was formed. We hold our pick next year, one thing that has to be considered is a tank, and an accumulation period of assets. I do not see that coming without Riley stepping down.

What I think is more likely is an all in Hail Mary, as we cash in all our tradeable 1st round picks, move Herro, and bring in not 1 but two stars to Miami alongside Bam. I am not sure I except a single player on this team back next year aside from Bam. Miami has had a lot of things happen both positively and negatively since this recent era of Heat basketball began, none of them included being embarrassed in the manor that they just were. Even the Boston series last year they stole a game on the road, and could claim they were injured. Not this year, you just saw Miami healthy completely fold up tent in a playoff series on their home floor.

That won't be tolerated here. Tyler Herro should probably get his house up on the market, and prepare to move his family to some hellscape like Memphis. Not a big fan of how he ended what was a promising year for him. Hell no to his extension if he and some assets can get you Jah I will take him all day.

Or the willingness if we do

I think willingness was there but i have been outlining for years in here every time a big name came up in trade that the chances were going to be either we just didn’t have the right pieces or we were just going to get flat beat out by another team. Not even discussing the tax issues of the past few years and bad contracts on board.

I get what you’re saying and I don’t disagree but when you won’t put Herro on the table for far better and more impactful players like Harden, Mitchell, Kyrie, apparently Dame, you’re reluctant to trade Caleb for Dame, you’re telling Lowry he’s not going to be traded in any Kyrie trade, etc. you’re not really that willing to get something done. Even if those offers were to be beat or not we wouldn’t know because we’re not even going into negotiations with a good faith offer, we’re just trying to fleece people when their guy gets mad or wants out.

He’d be the best guard in Miami since peak Wade if he returned now

Very curious to see if we get some insight on what the plans are this summer, also wonder if Pat goes on a rant to throw someone under the bus for the garbage roster he helped build.

Maybe a team will trade us a first for Spo?
