Quality players to attain. Would like to see Ingram here. Not realistic though. I can't imagine a package I could stomach going out that would being Ingram in.
Love to see Ingram in Miami, he's got the length that would help the defense. Just realize, if Miami were to do a consolidation trade, they have some quality sitting the bench that may be quality rotation players. Oladipo is getting closer, C.Martin looks like a player, Strus seems to have a hard time staying in the lineup even when he's doing good, Vincent is looking comfortable on the court this year, Guy may develop more if he stays in Miami...
I believe Robinson is available to be traded Jan 15th so things could start picking up soon, without big contracts it's really hard to make a big move since you'd expect Butler, Bam and Lowry aren't going anywhere
Would you do Duncan + Herro + gabe + Morris + pick
for
Ingram?
Me, yes but without looking at the numbers, I'd try to create some space with a package to get further under the cap to sign C.Martin. I'd expect Spoelstra would see Ingram as Miami's long term PF so you're moving forward long term with a Bam/Ingram front court.
Looking at what Miami could be like by the playoffs...
Lowry, Oladipo, Butler, Ingram and Bam with Vincent, Strus, Martin, Tucker and one of Dedmon/Yurtseven coming off the bench. If Oladipo isn't where Miami wants him to be you move Strus up to the starters and bring Oladipo off the bench. If Oladipo is back, that's a suffocating defense and Spoelstra can sprinkle in Strus, Martin, Tucker and a center throughout the game. Imagine the luxury of bringing someone like Tucker off the bench to defend the tougher offensive players and possibly close with him, all while able to keep his minutes lower at his age.
