Good enough, we don’t need him at 40% on 6 attempts. Maybe like 35%-38% on 3 attempts a game at most. Main thing is his defense, offensively it’ll be a solid mix of attacking playmaking and shooting
35 to 38 is a big difference by the way. So he is just a D guy

It’s not that big of difference relative to his volume. I mean the numbers are all out there for you he is a very solid above the break and catch and shoot 3 point shooter lol. He also provides rim pressure and he also is a very efficient low turnover playmaker. It’s more then just defense, he was highly sought after by contenders for a reason
Yeah math is important in context specially as it pertains to volume.
35-38% at 12 attempts is 4.2 makes(12.6points@35%) vs 4.56 makes(13.68points@38%) makes out of 12. That's 1 full point at 12 attempts which he or any other 3&D guy would never average here.
35-38% at 6 attempts is 2.1 makes(6.3points@35%) vs 2.28 makes(6.84points@38%) makes out of 12.
That's half a point 6 attempts which is more logical here.
Your looking at needing almost a full 6% difference to gain a full point in shot attempts vs someone who will be shooting 6 three pointers per game on average. So unless the difference here is a player along the lines of 35% vs 41% your not going to see that difference and anyone on this team hitting above 40% would be one of our most used actions and emphasis to get the bulk of our open three pointers.
