I'm thinking it's time to trade Hassan Whiteside and Dragic and everyone in order to secure a legit All-Star. I like GOATside but in the back of my mind, I'm always worried if this is the season he turns back into a pumpkin.
Put everyone on the trading block.
Once we have one All-Star, then Riley can build around him and attract a 2nd star and good pieces.
thats incredibly difficult to do. you have to not only have the money but also the supporting roster to surround said all star with. whiteside and dragic are players that would entice starts to sign here. we failed with durant and we are most likely going to fail with hayward. realistically who is going to be out there in the next off season not named lebron that wed be able to get and is a legit star? PG and Westbrook? Stars, i think saw how difficult it was for the big 3 the first season they formed and had no bench i think others will learn from that and not join the heat unless the money and personnel are right. The heat are going to have to look at their core roster now and try and develop them into special players. I think winslow can be a star in this league, i think hassan is a star and i think dragic is a star. sure they havent made all-nbas or all star games but they are some of the better starters in the league (dragic/whiteside). We need to assemble a great team first and foremost before letting all our chips go on superstarts. we got lucky with the big 3 and golden state got lucky having curry/draymond/klay on deals that allowed them to get KD. Sometimes you need a bit of luck and will power to see your young guys battle and improve. thats what happened with GS
