This deal works right on the number. If and when the Rockets trade Eric Gordon they have there 3 point sniper in Duncan and the Turkish towers combo of Yurt and Sengun.

I wouldn't include Omer in that trade, but I like the idea of Christian Wood playing for us.

Brah not going to happen this year while the Bulls and Heat are neck and neck at top of the eastern conference.

Zach LaVine is a free agent this summer and Chicago doesn't get past the second round of the playoffs. Chicago won't offer Zach LaVine, but if he asks to be traded, that's a different story.

So funny how Woj been saying for days that there is no indication that Harden wants a trade and Nets are moving on with him. But he gets no beef for it

Excellent defender who is switchable and can guard up.

He also has a pretty decent offensive game and an operate at all levels of the court.

Kinda reminds me of a poor man's Kirilenko with his length and range.

I have to believe that if a backup 4 isn't traded for then Riley and Spoelstra must have talked about what to do if Tucker isn't available due to injury/foul trouble/covid, as in try C.Martin as small ball 4 and if that's not working rotating Bam to PF and running him with a 7 footer? Maybe Morris comes back if Tucker isn't available for whatever reason since they moved KZ instead of or with him.

He's 6'8, athletic, 28YO, tough minded, can drive and finish, get FTs, hits 3's, mid range jumper, good defender, blcoks shots.

What do you mean "what's the fascination"? he's a very good big wing in a league where big wings are highly valuable.

What's not to like? are you seriously suggesting we're better off keep inconsistent Duncan, bench warming Yurt and injured Morris over a guy that just had a 24PPG on good efficiency with good defense just last year?!?!? He's 28 YO!!!

Agreed, it's money time. No point holding back, we're deep into WIN NOW mode, and there's an attainable player that can fit, fill a need, and could be getable without losing any key parts of current team.

Duncan + Yurt + Morris + 2 picks
For
Grant

Strus might be just as helpful in the playoffs as Duncan if he gets his minutes.
Yurnt won't play in the playoffs - no loss there
Morris is done
The picks hurt, but we've proven we can find talent elsewhere. When in win now mode, you can't worry about 2023 pick. Make the later pick lottery protected to cover our asses just in case.

Grant is young enough to be here long term. He might be the best player on the trade market looking forward.
We need to go all in on him. If things click He can be the piece that takes us over the top.

The question in this situation is being of 3 for 1, Miami would now be at 11 players out of the minimum 14, does Miami have enough to sign Martin for one of those spots and 2 minimum spots while staying under the tax?

Nope they don't unless Andy does some stupid type of cap gymnastics wizardry. This is why I always felt like Grant and Barnes were not going to be part of the trade discussion for us. Now Christian Wood on the other hand has the perfect contract to get something done with Marcus Morris Sr right behind him.

Give me any of the 4 over Duncan

If he's all of this, what do we have to entice them to make a deal? Certainly a hot/cold shooter and scraps isn't enough.

Multiple first round picks? Remember he wants to get paid so he won't take a penny discount to come down here even if we trade for him. Still he would do great here.

Now we obviously shouldn’t sit on our hands but what we definitely don’t want to happen is for us to sit on our hands while teams like the Bulls Nets Sixers and Bucks all make moves to improve.

I actually understand the push to get Grant. He was essentially the #1 option and flourishing in the role (at least numbers wise). His ability to produce is at least proven in that regard.

Its the PJ Washington obsession that I don’t get. He’s very unproven. Why on earth people think he’s worth giving up the potential of Omer (as a trade piece or as a player) makes no sense to me.

Bulls with Jerami Grant, Derozan, Lavine, Ball and Vuc would be absolutely dangerous.

He has a lot of tools and potential as well as filling a need at the backup 4 so we can play Tucker less minutes until the playoffs. Idk about his IQ though and how that will translate here.

I get the hype, but idk if Charlotte wants to let him go. They have him on the bench now.

Beating us twice must’ve given the raptors confidence to contend.

Dragic Precious Boucher and multiple firsts for KP gets it done

FVV
TrentJr
OG
Siakam/Barnes
KP

Another team near us in the conference looking to make a big splash
