If Strus is getting 16 per then that spells big trouble to keep Vincent at a reasonable figure. Someone is going to offer him a minimum non tax payer deal.

Wiltside wrote:Big deal for Max. Unsure why Indiana is doing it given they have Mathurin and Duarte, but you do you Indy.

They probably want Strus's playoff DNA  I'm guessing they are getting ready to move on from Buddy Hield and Duarte is kinda meh. Mathurin plays more SF

Peace out Max. I like you, but not enough to want the team to pay 48 mil in this 2nd apron world. Duncan won his role back anyways, assuming he isn’t traded. If he is, then Caleb…assuming he isn’t traded.

I'm really really happy for Thunder Max Strus. He balled out for us plenty. He also looks like a really good dude so much props on his success and new found riches.

Good for Max. That’s 48 million he wouldn’t have had in his pocket if not on the Heat

Indiana is close to his family in nearby Illinois. It's a good fit for Max

So if you’re on the receiving end of a sign and trade you’re automatically hard capped? So if we did a sign and trade to a team like Indy who had $30M in cap space does that meant they’re unable to use that cap space now that they’re hard capped?

Indiana immediately gets hard capped. We don't. Don't expect a trade here. They have the space and no need to cough up any assets

If a team is hard capped does that mean they can’t use their cap space?

Not even close not going to happen .Buddy makes 18.5 to Dipo's 9. And no they are not taking Duncan back either. Buddy will be going to a different team

Miami's chances to sign and trade them were at the previous trade deadline.

They are capped under the first apron and can't go over it.

I'd go for Buddy right now and then upgrade the 4.

Otherwise... we better not fail on Dame....

We have no pieces to trade for Buddy and they just committed to Strus. It's over that ship has sailed

Good character guy and never whined with his up-and-down playing minutes in the last 2 years. Gonna be a good player for less-pressure teams.
