The Heat are so ate up with their Heat Culture nonsense that I highly doubt they’d even entertain Zion

This is basically Bam saying it’s Spo without saying it’s Spo by the way
Then trade his ass we could get a huge haul for a dude who has been carried by the schematic brilliance of Spo his entire career

I’ve been watching ball a long time that’s not how this works especially when you’re the unquestioned captain of the team. He can get the ball whenever he wants the ball he just doesn’t want the ball like that. Which is cool, we just need a legit star around him, if we can’t get one makes a bunch sense to just move Bam.
Especially if he’s going to flirt with asking out or people think that’s a good idea for him. Trade his ass now

I’m all for Bam but the minute he starts thinking something he isn’t which is an A1 superstar or if they can’t acquire one. It begins to make a lot of sense to move both him and especially Herro.
If you give Spo a small army of motivated young talent this team at minimum will be fun to watch.

Wanting to be involved in the offense more doesn’t mean he considered himself a 1A superstar, especially when he is undoubtedly the best player on this team and at worst the 2nd best scorer.
You sure about that? Spo is having arguably the worst season of his career.

Yeah I’ve been watching the guy Coach for 17 years now. A rough few months isn’t going to change the way I view the guy. This is a challenging year. This would have to stretch on for multiple years before I’d be willing to say Spo is the problem

Maybe he should be told to zip it if he's such a obedient employee, lol

Seems people have different standards for the coach than the players, I think Spo is the best coach in the world. I also think his hierarchy for the roster is garbage and he flat out can’t coach an offense, first time im really starting to question him after these last few mediocre seasons where he has seemed clueless

Anyone know what the situation is with the OKC pick? If we trade for the pick, does that negate the ‘28 pick owed to charlotte? If so we need to do whatever we can to get that pick back

Mitchell - Herro - Wiggins - Jovic - Bam
127.0 OffRtg, 116.7 DefRtg

I would generally agree with you...Bam could just demand the ball....but...especially right now....team in transition...who I think are actually tanking....I would straight up buy that Bam is passing up shots to either A. see who fits in the new group, or B. trying to get the new guys comfortable for a late season push, or to develop chemistry for next year.
Bam has a track record, you can't ignore that....but I would buy that Bam is playing the part of the "good" leader, or "good" solider and following Spo's direction to set other dudes up.
I would 100% buy Bam is doing what he is being told to do.

For all we know...they are getting the exact results they want right now...
Spo could 100% suck, and that could 100% be the goal....or any combination of the two.
I don't buy that one lousy season has destroyed Spo, or he is burned out, or has run out of ideas or any of that. Is that possible? Sure...absolutely.... I just think he is built a bit tougher than that.
If we don't bounce back next year...then yeah...I'll be more worried...but it is what it is. You just don't see a whole bunch of 25 year old guys like Herro pushing deep into the playoffs when they are not elite or generational. This looks like any number of young teams of the past.

Re: 2025 Regular Season Thread Vol. 8
huh? these are not wiggins numbers with the Heat...
Try 48.7% efg, 53.4% TS with 3.1 asts on 2.8 TOs
In other words, he really does suck and his contract is a problem.

TRASH and he’s literally been given the keys to the team it seems like. It’s super disappointing and a couple of us tried to warn the rest before he got here that he’s not done great scorer and he’s been super turnover prone averaging a turnover for every assist.
That’s the problem though, people see the 23 points last night and think he had a good game, they ignore he took 21 shots to get it and had a 50TS%.
We haven’t even really felt his defensive presence which was imo the main thing about adding him and Mitchell.

They will have a free and clear lotto pick from us in 2026 and good luck getting that pick back as they’ll Probably flip that for there next piece.

For sure. That pick is becoming more valuable by the day
