Sending him to the Nets into cap space relieves them of the full $20M but they’ll have to pay if they want the nets to eat all that

Nets would only be eating the partial amount not the full 19.8. They can first absorb the space then get 10 mil back. It’s only 9.8 so they can eat that for a few 2nds.

My understanding is Robinson would have to have his money guaranteed in order to count for the full ~$20M towards a trade. If not, I think he'd only count the guaranteed amount.

So, it seems like his contract can be moved with the option still intact, but it may require another player going out.

It’s a pure partial for whatever team that gets him and releases before July 8th. BK has the space to absorb full amount with over 90 mil in cap space

We’ve got to find that “wtf how did he only sign for the minimum” guy this summer, 2 of them if we’re lucky. There’s no money to go around outside of Brooklyn pretty much and some guys are either going to make bad decisions to opt out thinking they’ll get paid or just simply don’t want to be where they are right now and opt out

It barely gets any more stupid than Ishbia with basketball decisions so I’d assume Gobert trade absolutely in play.

No. Ishiba just spent over 400 million and are now heading into repeater. That’s absurd even for someone as rich as he is. They need to get off a bunch of salary not take on matching contracts for Durant that keep compiling onto the situation.

The Jazz gave him $200+M, the Wolves thought it was not only worth trading 5 (?) picks for him, but that it was a heck of deal to give him a ~$120M extension.

I will never understand the obsession with overpaying overhyped role players (see Jrue Holiday).

If the Suns can come out of this with Claxton, Jovic, JJJ, and the 20th pick while slashing 20 million off there books they would have done very well for themselves. This is assuming they compensate BK for taking Duncan and Rozier or Wiggins in the Claxton deal.

The Haul the Suns get for Durant should be comparable to what we got for Jimmy. Nobody was advocating for us getting multiple 1sts and young talent. Durant is a better player MVP and champion but the age is the big risk factor so that should drive the price down

Adebayo
Ware
Jovic
Jáquez
Larsson
Highsmith
All the picks
All the swaps

And a separate trade where you take Beal.

Should get done soon.

Xoxo.

FO obsession with him likely cost us a championship in the Jimmy era and he’s done nothing to warrant such a standing within the organization

If we can get KD while keeping Herro, Bam, and Ware, I would be satisfied with that. Would be even happier if we could do something to get Derrick White from BOS. I don't think BOS will be able to keep all their guys without paying an astronomical luxury tax next season

Well just in case we worked out two very good prospects who might be there at pick 20 in Jase Richardson and Will Riley. I know Ishiba is probably foaming at the mouth for the chance to draft Sparty's own Jase Richardson.
