Miami Heat Regular Season Thread 21-22 Vol. 2 - Can we get to first place?

I think we have to accept the reality that Miami will likely just stand pat (no pun intended) at the deadline, even if other contenders make moves to improve. I think the front office and our head management will view the healthy returns of Markieff Morris and Victor Oladipo as the mid-season acquisitions that propel us into a higher echelon.

As an Oladipo fan, I think some of ya'll gotta chill with hyping him up. I expect the dude to be rusty in his first game back and to take a little time to adjust to be NBA level ready. I just don't want people getting their hopes up then trashing him when he doesn't meet those high standards.

Another team near us in the conference looking to make a big splash

The eastern conference is crazy scary this year. It's unfortunate for us because despite the great regular season we have been having thus far, we may just wind up against the Nets, Celtics, or Raps in the 1st round. Definitely not an ideal situation.

Not really. He's washed. He helps a bit to make up for Lopez absence but not that much.

There was talk about the fo being unsure about Kieff's health even though he's cleared by doctors? I hope we can get them back healthy.

No one is expecting him to pick up where he left off when he got hurt against the Lakers. But the potentially added firepower to the bench when he returns is what we're looking towards. We know what he will eventually be capable of. Simply less turnovers all around because that's less minutes with the ball in Herro's hands attempting to play PG with a weak dribble.

Why would they take our scraps for him? Wouldn't another team just outbid us? Based on what's been said so far, he's looking and playing for money. Dunno if that's a good fit.
