Interesting, Ware compares very favorably across the board with Mobley's rookie year..with the latter being a better passer at the same stage.

I don't think they are the same type of guy. Mobley has a face up game, and is more of a true 4. Ware needs to add a lot of lower body strength this summer, and he needs a legit guard to get him more involved with lobs. I was initially excited about his shooting, but that kinda showed itself to be a mirage I felt like he was hunted defensively at times.

Gotta add someone like him and/or Nesmith on the perimeter this summer. Maybe Mitchell is that guy. Defend at a high level, knock down shots, and make plays.

He’s definitely coming back. The biggest reason why Duncan will not get traded and just simply released for the 10 million in cap space. Team is going to need the close to 20 million in space to match Mitchell contract and sign the 20th pick if we keep it which comes in at 4 million.

Have have lost our damned minds ... again. We never learn. :nonono:

Perfect world we sign Mitchell and draft a young PG of the future locking that position up cheap for the foreseeable future.

Mitchell anywhere near 9 mil a year is a value signing.

His career numbers say NBA minimum. Even earlier this season he looked like a minimum player. We need to stop making this mistake over and over and over again. A guy is not his best stretch of basketball. A guy is his typical stretch of basketball.

Hopefully Pat recognizes that Mitchell is Vincent 2.0 and lets him walk.

Pat was going to sign Vincent for 9 mil per before Lakers stepped in at 11. Mitchell is still young and a former lottery pick who was making 6 per a year. He found his footing here and looks to be on the upswing. If someone wants to overpay like they did Vincent then you let him walk but he’s certainly worth the 8.7 mil QO.

Durant is going to go somewhere close to the Butler package. Will be only 1 future pick sent out with JJJ and Jovic. Still ends up being better for the Suns than what we got for Butler.

I have to disagree, Davion and Gabe aren't close.

- Davion is a significantly better defender: stronger, more physical, and forces far more turnovers, there is a reason he was a lottery pick and Gabe went undrafted
- He's also a better playmaker. The team tried to mold Gabe into a PG, but he never was. He often took questionable shots, while Davion is that, can handle the ball efficiently, plays within the flow, and fits better alongside stars
- Davion attacks the rim! 35% of his shots come within 5 feet and he finishes at a solid 58.7%. Gabe was never that aggressive, with a rim frequency under 15%
- Over the past two seasons, Davion has shot 38.2% from three. I wouldn’t put too much weight on his rookie and sophomore seasons, even something like 36% is good enough

He’s exactly the kind of guard you want next to your stars, defends at a high level, hits open 3s, and doesn’t force things, you need those cheaper high level role players who support the stars on the team, can't win without them. No doubt this is a must resign for the Heat, I'd be shocked if they blunder this.

Once they dip into the first apron they can aggregate with Durant in trade. O’Neale or Grayson Allen could be headed this way.

Funny if Miami set the market for Durant with the Butler trade.

Really is a stretch for teams with young cores with limited playoff experience and longer time horizons to aggressively pursue KD.

If Miami pursues KD, I hope its a bargain.

You got a soon to be 37 year old free agent about to ask for a max. Most young core teams are going to balk at that. Not us here. Right in Riley’s wheel house

Flipping Wiggins and Rozier for Durant’s money even if only for a two year window is well worth it.

I'm more on board with this now, when it looks like the Celtics/Bucks aren't going to be as good next year.

They still can't lose Ware or Davion in this deal, these are very important pieces for that window and after.

Ware is not going anywhere and Mitchell will depend on the market

Anyone else getting the feeling of KD going somewhere else for cheap while we wait to be disappointed by Giannis news?
