Bam and Goran getting hurt in the bubble cost us a championship ironically when Herro's rookie year made him very valuable in a trade and at the time most fans of Heat didn't want to trade him. Giving an old and small point guard 85 million dollars likely cost the team a championship. That money certainly could've better used elsewhere instead of making Lowry your 2nd or third highest paid player depending on the year. Holding on to a low cost scorer making less than 5 mil per year when he had our best teams did not. Point to the low lottery pick and not the decision to acquire Kyle Lowry and pay him 7 times more per year?

really is lame how many accounts including that Mike Scriba guy are just piggybacking off the apparent momentum of a trade. apparently all these guys that never break anything are saying sources and FO people are saying its almost done. so many losers out there desperate for attention. my feed has been showing me the same thing from Minny accounts loll

Nothing to think about. The Heat weren't obsessed with Herro. They were willing to deal him in a trade that brought them a star. He wasn't Winslow where they were happy getting back a couple of veteran rotation players. The league determined his value wasn't high enough to bring back that star unless the Heat were gonna gut the entire thing of every asset on the board. At some point you gotta accept your fate. And Bam was the only piece that would've gotten a star in return. The obsession is with Bam not Herro. Up to you to determine whether Bam was/is worth untouchable status.

The Suns were the favorites to land Jimmy Butler for a month

What can Minny offer?

Gobert? Why would the Suns want to continue to have the league’s highest payroll again for an even worse roster?

We can offer them

Wiggins who they can flip for assets, at least a first.
Duncan who they can non guarantee his deal and save 10million
Jovic or Jaquez or even both (would only offer 1 first rounder if that’s the case.

What’s Minny offering?

Also the amount of contenders are primarily in the West, and it’s cold….

If we can get KD without giving up Ware, then I’m all for it. But honestly, it feels like we’re just being used as leverage again.

I’d be shocked if Riley actually pulls this off. Still feels like the Suns are just using us to pressure the Spurs or one of Minny/Hou into giving up more.

I just have a hard time believing they’ll take that bum Rudy’s contract when we can give them major cap relief

It’ll be pretty funny if Duncan’s contract is the thing that lands Durant

i dont think they want to rebuild… with Book still there, it could be intriguing to have a legitimate elite defensive presence (at least in the regular szn)

i do think it would be fun for KD to end his career in obscurity getting his ass whooped every year having to live in Minny. I’m preparing myself to enjoy that fun aspect of it bc let’s be real, this Miami FO does NOT get things done

I just don’t see anything going with Minny. Just a bunch of noise. Minny would be stripped if they put together anything remotely realistic. It all starts with Randle opting in then they can toss in Dillingham and 18th but still have salary hoops to climb. Miller, Shannon Jr, and Donte D would all have to be thrown in to get to Durant’s figure. The Wolves are in no position to be doing this

I can see this tbh. Its really going to come down to how motivated the other teams are to get KD. They all can offer better. I can see Phx holding out to get at least some part of that better from another team.
