Don't hear much about him these days, do we?

He was a very good player, but some people were talking like he was one of the best guards in the league at one point. Holiday is good as, at best, a 3rd wheel. But really, he's just an elite role player and not on the same level as other stars. Derrick White is starting to get talked up the way Jrue Holiday was at one point. I think White is an excellent player, but he's been "hiding" behind Tatum and Brown, and that absolutely influences the types of opportunities he gets.

What differentiates stars from elite role players like Holiday is their longevity at being peak performers. There is a reason Holiday is "only" a 2-time all-star and never made an all-NBA team.
I was banging the table for Drew Holiday when he was a Pelican to be an addition to the Heat. Got a lot of slack for it.

I mean he just got old, he’s been a damn good player for awhile and was a key piece in 2 championships. Peak Holiday is pretty easily better than Tyler if that was the point being made

I wasn't comparing Holiday to Herro. I was just saying the ESPN list has a lot of guys who I think are role players really highly ranked. In any case, Holiday's production has been down the last two years, starting at 33. In today's game, 33 is not that old. Holiday is still a menace on defense, but he's reverting to the mean with regards to his offense.

Holiday would have fit in Miami, and I think he still would as a guard next to Herro, but Holiday is getting paid wild sums of money now (3-years, $105M).

Might of been the last year of 3 on 3 tournaments. I remember we wore all black jerseys with black Sox and the black Barkley's.

I wish I was the type of person who kept my own memorabilia. I kept my daughters accomplishments but not mine. I use to take her around with when I played tournaments or hooped at different parks.

We had a do-si-do alley play that would pist people off. Sometimes pull a gun on us. Lol

I used to compete in the Gus Macker 3 on 3 tournaments. Much fun. We had a howling wolf at the "Basketball" moon as our logo.

I am 55 now and my body feels great and I can still do all my moves but just not as fast nor jump as high. No pain. But, I never push it like I used to go all out. I am always concerned about tearing a ligament. I don't push my body at all as I am super conservative in my old age but still can do the moves. I did tear my achilles 25 years ago at 30 while getting a rebound in a gym and the loud pop echo'd thru the gym and everyone stopped. I was preparing for a 3 on 3 tournament happening in a month. I hobbled to the car and drove home, then went to hospital in the morning hoping it wasn't what I thought it was. I did compete in the 40 and over league for a few years. Was competitive with 2 referee's, shot clock and all. That was fun, the people were not.

I am still trying to figure out what the plan is with this team on how to get back to title contention. Perennial treadmill first round playoff elimination aint gonna cut it. I know Herro is out for a while, but even if he played every single game this team is a sixth seed at best. What’s the next step for the franchise? I don’t think even Pat Riley knows.

They have to evaluate the roster until the trade deadline and then make moves.
I think this is the path that they will try out.

What if the team performs better without Herro?
Or what if the team is good without Herro and Herro makes the team even better?

These are scenarios that nobody knows before see it in action.

Imo Heat have a good roster and a very good coach, it is not impossible to become a winning team this year.

The absense of Herro will bring the lights to other players.
We will have a better look at them, as they will have more room to show their abilities or disadvantages.

Personally I like Powel, Wiggins and Adebayo trio.
They can all score, play defense and they are not selfish.

Ware has high ceiling and can breakout this season.
Jovic, Mitchel, Fontecchio are good players.
I wait to see

The plan is to give Herro and Bam an opportunity to carry the team. This is the first build around those two.

The plan is clear to me.. as soon as it was reported the half hearted effort to acquire Durant, for the sole purpose of telling the fans that wanted Durant “hey yall we tried”..

And then the fact that theyre not offering any extensions, and have stacked a bunch of contracts that expire after this season while having a wiggins contract that can be opted out /traded by the deadline

Theyre giving this Bam/Herro this one full season together with the players they got to see if that duo is worth moving forward and building on. If its the same **** as last season, theyre blowing it up. They may keep Bam because they love Bam, but everyone is gone.

Oh and by the way, the Herro/Bam duo is already at a rough start and they havent even played a single game yet this upcoming season. Herro is due back potentially mid December.. will he ever get in game shape after missing training camp?

Just another injured, unreliable Herro season like he has had most of his career.

I know its not the same but thinking outside the box, what about those vr occulus/ meta things to get sort of the sensation of playing without the pain? Granted i dont know if that even exist or how good they might be.

Retatrutide to lose weight, bpc157/tb500 for musculoskeletal pain and injuries. Peptides could be your answer to getting back to playing ball among many other things, ijs...

Herro just can’t stay healthy. Riley challenged him on that I think last offseason and I thought he was healthy until we found out like a week ago he was playing hurt and needed this surgery.

Riley definitely doesn’t envision Bam/Herro to be a Shaq/Kobe duo. But maybe he envisions them to be core pieces to a team like the last Championship Pistons team where Bam is Ben Wallace and Herro is Rip Hamilton. That team was stacked cuz their players were mostly underpaid, until a couple of seasons later when they got paid with other teams. Herro and Bam are definitely not underpaid. Not sure this team could ne anywhere close to as accomplished as those Pistons, but what does Riley have to lose at this point? I don’t see a rebuild as something Riley wants to deal with again.

Oh **** what if Riley retires after this season?

Have you tried bpc157/tb500 personally?
Do they have any side effects?
Because I have some injuries lately(hamstring and abs) that still bother me.
