Love the intensity. Hope the others are ready for it

Also looks like they replaced the yellow wall pads with white ones in the practice gym.

The team needs it. I believe the message has the potential to resonate much more with this group when the player is also producing on the court, as opposed to being yelled at by someone like UD who's on the bench. Hopefully it encourages the guys that need to be communicating the most (Bam and Winslow) to continue to grow and be confident in that area of leadership.

Off season videos show Waiters and Paul working out with each other. Shortly after board proposes trades involving trading Waiters attached with others for Paul. My thought is if Paul is building an off season bond with Waiters and training with him that it would most likely mean that they would not be traded for one another? Dragic #1 is obviously the first piece that needs to go out and his expiring deal. JJ would have to be included in this deal for salary purposes.

This puts the team 4 million away from a trade match. The next salary that needs to be included is Olynyk's. Have OKC add in a few fillers like Noel and Bazley or Ferguson with a pick or two and we should have our selves a deal. The last year of Paul is the only part of that deal that's really going to sting but it is what it is. JJ and Olynyk absorb 28 million of his deal in the next two years either way you put it. We will have to get creative with Paul in the last year of his deal or just hope he plays like Steve Nash at the end of his career.

I'm all for this trade proposal but I do recognize that moving both JJ and Olynik would create a hole at PF, and I wouldn't suspect that Spo would be willing to occupy that space with DJJ in the starting lineup.

I wouldn't read that much into it. They just happen to share a trainer (Wade's old trainer), I don't think CP3 called up Waiters or vice versa for a workout.

The trainer btw has absolutely raved about Dion's work this offseason.

Alexander has been so impressed with Waiters’ work ethic that he doesn’t shy away from mentioning lofty goals of being a candidate for the league’s Most Improved Player award. Perhaps even an All-Star selection. After seven seasons in varying roles and levels of consistency, Waiters might finally be primed for a breakout season.

Ohh this is happening. Especially now that we have a clear number 1 guy in Butler. The cool narrative around Heat fans is to make fun or hate on Dion, but he is without a doubt the most talented offensive player we have after Butler. And he is also a solid Defender. Healthy, hungry and in shape? Watch-out!

Agreed. OKC is shooting themselves on the foot. There is no way they can presently build a team on the fly to contend in the West. Keeping Paul does more bad than good if what they want is to rebuild with younger talent. They should offer Miami at least one of those late first round picks and call it a day.
I think that is exactly how Miami is trying to leverage this. Eventually getting below the demand for 2 draft picks and getting one or just a straight JJ, Waiters and Meyers deal at the worse.

Is Gallo available to be traded already? Or they have to wait until Dec 15?

CP3 and Gallo could be something the Heat might be interested in. We would have to give up one of our young players (most likely Winslow) and not take back any pick, but is it worth it?

CP3
Herro
Butler
Gallo
Bam

No.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Actually, I'd say Dragic is but I don't think that's saying much. This is more of a defensive team than an offensive team.

Unless he shoots it like Horford or has Giannis' skill-set I think he's likely to be Tayshaun Prince at best.

You are right, it's debatable between Dragic and Dion. But Dragic at this stage in his career IMO is not more talented offensively than Dion. And Dion like you mentioned is much more better than Goran on Defense.

The reason why I believe in a healthy Dion is obvious. He is the only player we have besides Butler who can break a defense and create for him self and others. Winslow might become that as well if he takes that next step. And I see Herro also developing the skills to be able to create his own shot eventually. But right now, those are the only two who we can rely on when it comes to it.

Dion is also the only clutch player besides Butler who is not afraid to take and make big shots in big moments. We needed that so bad last season, and finally we have the clear Alfa in Butler and a second Dog in Dion that can help us win games in the fourth quarter when the opponent's D tighten up. I also see Herro becoming one of these fearless clutch players and hopefully Winslow can become one as well.
