I think this deal is definitely happening boys.

I just realized that the deal BKN did with OKC shedding Patty Mills salary gets them to 17mil under the tax line and they can now trade just O'Neale and the cap relief they got from the Joe Harris trade and fit Tyler just under the luxury tax line. They weren't able to do that prior to shedding Mills' 6.8mil salary.

These teams are all working together and making trades for this to happen. I think Portland are just buying time in the media and making it seem like they are putting the squeeze on Miami to offer the best deal when they have been working through this the whole time from the beginning of FA.

Feels like it's also a done deal unless Boston would be willing to sign and trade Jaylen Brown to Blazers and that would be a very stupid thing to do. What just worries me is the price that Pat will pay. Can't remember the last time he got fleeced over a trade.

If we're able to keep both Jovic and Jacquez, I would say it's totally a win since Caleb may not be here next year and will be looking to get paid.

I'm sure this is the case but POR FO will probably be allowed to take credit for it because of the posturing they did in the media so they can turn to the fans and say they held firm until they got both a fair deal and were able to get Dame to where he wanted to go.
